Only visit to a vet and а lab test can verify demodicosis. The demodex test is very simple yet it requires to visit a veterinarian. Your vet will scrape the skin where the patches of alopecia occur. The demodex mites can be easily found under the microscope, and if your dog is diagnosed as having this disease, necessary anti demodex treatment will be prescribed. Large numbers of demodex mange mites is verification of demodectic mange and it necessitates anti demodex therapy.
