Acne is a problem of most teenagers. Some get only one or two pimples,
others fight with acne for years. The Proactive solution is well known brand
among acne sufferers here in the US as well as in some other countries.
The Benzoyl peroxide or BP is also well known chemical which has been used
for years to treat acne. Such brands as Proactive solution, Dan's acne cream,
Basiron and some others use the BP in its ingredients as active anti acne agent.
Looking at the history of Benzoyl peroxide as anti acne ingredient, one must think
that since BP has been around for so many years, it should be the altimate acne treatment.
May be so, but in contrary to this popular belief, most of the anti-acne products
are nothing but highly advertised commertials.
Infortunately, as much as most of us hate acne commertials, they still appear on Tv or
in the newspapers, magazines and so on. So, how can we figure out which acne treatment is more
efective? The answer is simple. If we want beautiful and clear skin, we should not use the
chemicals such as BP, accutane and others.
No matter what anyone says, the chemicals and antibiotics are harsh not only when they are
taken oraly but topical applications are even worse for the skin as well. Products with Benzoyl
perixide or accutane may work for for short time but after acne bacteria developes resistance
to those drugs, they will stop working.
It is good idea, while choosing the right acne product to check the list of the ingredients. There are
so many acne products out there, with high efficacy and without any harsh chemicals.
