Severe acne known as nodules and cysts do not appear overnight. It takes time and "effort" for bacteria to grow to that point. Just another day i wrote a short article about possible ways to avoid the transition from pa pules and pustules into cysts and nodules. There are several well known ways to do so, and we are not going to repeat them again. Even though, there are about 5 - 15% of people with acne who develop severe acne, there is no reason why everybody else must not follow the daily regiment.

The daily regiment for acne prone skin is not difficult task to follow. As soon as you do it once or twice, it will become your normal daily routine as brushing teeth, for example. You don't brush it, you will get bad breath, cavity and so on. Same rule must apply to the daily regiment for acne prone skin.

Going back to where i started from. The development of cysts and nodules and how long can they last. There is no definite time for acne cysts to go away. One thing is well known though, that if you don't help then to go away, they won't. The acne cysts, same as acne, caused by growing and increasingly multiplying bacteria. If acne bacteria grows, any bacteria, than there is a reason why it grows. One must act to stop it from growing unless it is a good bacteria.

Many times, the bad decision in choosing acne medication causes development of cysts and nodules. The medication you are using to treat acne plays very crucial role. If medication fails, which happens a lot, you must stop using it and try some thing else. There are many bad advises given by manufacturers of acne products, to continue using their acne medication even if it stop helping.

To effectively treat sever acne, consider using topical acne products with natural ingredients. There are many of them available. Why natural? Because they don't do any harm as harsh chemicals and antibiotics do. Before starting the medication though, choose 3 - 5 different once, check and compare their ingredients and only then make your choice. Follow this simple rule: If you can not read the ingredients list, then don't apply it on your skin. Think about the side effects you can get from using antibiotics. Some are so severe that may even destroy your skins immune system. So, go natural. You know what they say: Better safe than sorry. This saying, very much applies in acne treatment.

Cysts and nodules are considered severe acne. Even though, there are many known ways and advices of how to avoid the development of severe acne, in some cases it is impossible to avoid unavoidable. There are few reasons for blackheads or whiteheads to transform into severe acne (cysts and nodules).

It seems that in this day and age, everyone who goes through the battle with acne must be very familiar with everything what the acne brings: acne development, why acne starts, who gets the acne and why and so on. Usually, people with "experience", who have had acne for a while are the most knowledgeable.

But, according to a new study, conducted by Swiss dermatologists in several high schools, many teens who are just developing first signs of acne or once who have had acne for a while, don't even know the basics, such as the acne daily regiment or how to even properly wash and clean the acne prone skin and so on.

The conclusion of the study, which was published in one of the Swiss magazines, defines the definite connection between lock of basic knowledge and the development of severe acne cases (cysts, nodules). There is no doubts in their mind, concluded the scientists, that many cases of severe acnee caused by poor or zero knowledge of the basics. The development of many severe acne cases could be avoided and prevented had there been the basic knowledge.

To follow up on this new study, we would like to ad, that the acne education and the acne daily regiment are as important as doing the home work. One with acne, must use every possible resource and bit of information to learn and self educate in order to prevent and avoid the development of cysts and nodules.
