Doxycycline and acne.
Doxycycline - used if the other two antibiotics does not help. Doxycycline is taken oraly twice a day and as all antibiotics have side effects which you must be aware off. The side effects of Doxycycline are significant nausea and increased sensitivity to the sun. This antibiotic must be taken with food.

Clindamycin and acne .
Clindamicin - is another oral antibiotic, but can also be used to treat acne as a topical antibiotic. The major side effect of clindamycin is serious intestinal infection. It used twice a day and as all antibiotics can not be used for longer that 2 - 3 weeks to avoid the side effects.

As you may noticed, the antibiotics, eventhough widely prescribed for acne treatment are only good for few 2 - 3 weeks, after that perioud has passed, the antibiotics will stop responding and star showing some side effects. Tretinoin and acne.
