Acne skin improvement usualy a long quest of tries and errors, as it has many things which can turn acne treatment experience in a nightmare or make it fast and effective. Many times the success in acne treatment and the skin improvement depends on which treatment we choose and how we use it.

No matter what some people say, when it boils down to choosing acne treatment and following up post acne skin improvement, many will say that if they had to start the acne treatment process all over again, they would not repeat the path they took. Many mistakes alog the way were easily avoided and yet, most mistakes in acne treatment caused some side effects and even left over scars to deal with.

All topical acne medications (acne creams, acne gels and acne lotions) are devided into two caterogy. There are acne medications made with chemicals, antibiotics and even hormones which should be used with coution and there are natural acne remedies whith all natural ingredients, vitamins and minerals. These two type of acne treatments are available and most used to treat mild and severe acne. There are some acne home recepies available as well which can be used to treat mild acne sucsessfuly as well.

How to choose acne treatment is entirely up to you, unless you have severe acne (cysts and noudles) where you need medical advice and strong blend of chemicals and antibiotics to slow down the infecton. Mild acne are well treated with topical creams and should not be harmed with harsh chemicals. But, chemicals are widely prescribed to treat acne. Here are some of the antibiotics used to treat acne:

    Tetracycline and acne.
Tetracycline - used twice a day but must be used on empty stomach and as all antibiotics can not be used longer that 2 - 3 weeks. There are some side effects assosiated with the use of Tetraciclyn in acne treatment.

    Erythromycin and acne.
Erythromycin - used twice a day with lower dosage than Tetracycline and can be used on full stomache. The use of Erythromycine in acne treatment assosiated with side effects such as upset stomach and nausea, can be used in pregnant women.

    Minocycline and acne.
Minocycline - used to treat acne and must be taken oraly twice a day. Can not be used longer than 2 - 3 weeks and have side effects such as: dizziness, nausea, vomiting, skin pigmentation changes, and tooth discoloration. The skin and tooth changes are seen more often in people who have taken minocycline for a long time so don't take it for long time or don't take it at all.

    Doxycycline and acne.
Doxycycline - used if the other two antibiotics does not help. Doxycycline is taken oraly twice a day and as all antibiotics have side effects which you must be aware off. The side effects of Doxycycline are significant nausea and increased sensitivity to the sun. This antibiotic must be taken with food.

    Clindamycin and acne .
Clindamicin - is another oral antibiotic, but can also be used to treat acne as a topical antibiotic. The major side effect of clindamycin is serious intestinal infection. It used twice a day and as all antibiotics can not be used for longer that 2 - 3 weeks to avoid the side effects.

As you may noticed, the antibiotics, eventhough widely prescribed for acne treatment are only good for few 2 - 3 weeks, after that perioud has passed, the antibiotics will stop responding and star showing some side effects. Therefore, if you think, it is possible to treat your acne withing this short period of time and you are not affraid of the side effects, then the antibiotics in acne treatment should be your choice. Because if antibiotics fail (which happens in most cases), that you have to start more severe and harsh acne therapy with:

    Accutane and acne.
Accutane - used mostly to treat nodular, pustular acne that did responded to courses of different oral and topical antibiotics.

    Tretinoin and acne.
Tretinoin - is another way of using vitamin A to trteat acne. Tretinoin can be found as active ingredient in such acne products like (Retin-A, Avita, Renova).

The advantages of using natural creams in acne treatment are not only in lack of side effects. The natural acne creams can be used for long time and be effective. Before choosing your acne medication, always check the list of ingredients. Ovante acne cream (ABC) made withh 100% natural vitamins and minerals to treat your acne fast and effectively.
