  • Scars and vitamin C, how to treat post acne scar and blemishes with use of natural creams with vitamin C ascorbic acid.

Surgical scars, post acne scars and burn scars are the types of scars which people obtain most often. There are animal bites scars, chickenpox or varicella scars and other kinds of scars, which occur not as often. Also, all scars are divided into several different natures of scarring, depending on how they were developed: Keloid scars, Hypertrophic scars and Contracture scars.

Scarring, unlike acne and burns are more difficult and in some cases more complicated when it comes to treatment. There are many scar treatments available now, from simple home made scar recepies to most advanced laser scar removals. As treatment of any skin disorder, depending on the effectiveness of the scar therapy, it may take any where from few weeks to a year or longer for scars to be partially or completely gone. Some scar removal procedures such as laser scar treatment can be very expensive, may have some side effects and may not guarantee the complete scar disappearance as it only removes thin layers or the skin.

The discovery of using vitamin C (Ascorbic acid) in scar treatment was mentioned while ago in several scientific publications, books and articles. There are some info on the effectiveness and how the vitamin C works by restoring the damaged skin tissue (the Scar) can be found in Wikipedia and some other books published by different researchers. Vitamin C has over 300 metabolic functions in our body and the use of it as a scar rejuvenation is one of them.

Some of the researches suggest to use vitamin C orally every day in large quantity in order for the scars to melt away overtime. In other words, treat scars from the inside. Unfortunately, such way is not as effective as they say. The efficacy of oral use of vitamin C, as soon as it gets into our digestive system becomes minimal. In order to achieve some positive results, one must take extremely large quantity of vitamin C pills for very long time. Large amount of vitamin C taken orally for long time may cause some irreversible side effects.

Best effect from use of vitamin C as anti scar treatment can only be achieved when it applied topically. There are very few effective topical creams available though. Why just few? Because vitamin C or (Ascorbic acid) is very unstable. The Ascorbic acid almost immediately oxidizes by itself. This is why, it kept in form of a pill. Where it can be kept without oxidizing. Effectiveness of such form of vitamin C is much lover as the pill has not only vitamin C but bunch of other - chemical ingredients which keep the Ascorbic acid from the oxidizing.

    Vitamin C for scars
I applied crem Melt one time a day first may be a week or so and then i went of two times a day. It is a good cream and vitamin C in cream Melt works pretty good, i ve been using it for a while now and the dark spots i had on my face laft after acne are going away slowly but surely. It takes time though for this product to du the magic but vitamin C is probably the only one what can fade scars.
