Salicylic acid is an ingredient used in many over-the-counter acne medications, the list is very long but i will list some of them bellow. It is often found with pads as applicators (such as Stri-dex pads). It is also used to treat other skin disorders including dandruff, psoriasis, calluses, corns, warts, and more. As with BP, the Salicylic Acid is available in prescription and over-the-counter medications, in cream, gel, and wash form.
Here is how it works in very brief form - the Acne is formed when skin cells inside hair follicles shed too fast and clump together, plugging up the follicle and causing a pimple. Salicylic acid helps slow down shedding of the cells inside the follicles, preventing clogging. Salicylic acid also helps break down blackheads and whiteheads.
It is very good anti acne agent, it has very few reports of side effects and can be used for any type of skin, does not stain cloth or hair and has high procentage of positive responses from people who used anti acne products with salycilic acid in it.

    Nutrition tips to fight acne.
Acne is an age-old problem that generally affects teenagers but also a large number of adults. Whether we're in our teens or past puberty, acne poses the same problems: it eats up our confidence, makes us feel unattractive and ugly, and at its worse, makes us ashamed to face the world and constantly self-conscious about what other people are thinking about us.
What really irks us is that we may be doing all the right things in terms of skin care and living a healthy lifestyle and yet acne haunts us anyway. However, some studies show that there is one thing that we may have overlooked in terms of acne maintenance -- proper nutrition.
Acne comes about when androgens increase and overproduce keratin and sebum, resulting in clogged pores and skin infections. A deficiency in Vitamin A also causes too much keratin while a diet rich in fried foods and saturated fat can lead to blocked pores. Nutritionists recommend vitamin A, zinc and vitamin C to fight infection, vitamin E to heal the wounds and prevent scarring. and vitamin B3 (niacin) to flush unwanted toxins from the skin.
In order to keep skin soft, nutritionists recommend the so-called Essential Fatty Acids, which also dissolves fatty deposits that block pores and repairs damaged skin. You may want to try blue-green algae, which provides chlorophyll that aids in cleansing the blood and delivers oxygen, which is critical because some bacteria cannot survive in the presence of oxygen. Other important nutrients include vitamin B Complex, chromium, acidophilus and selenium.
Here are other nutrition tips to fight acne:
A diet that is high in fiber can keep the colon clean and can reduce toxicity.
Vegetables and fruits are essential to any healthy diet.
Zinc-rich foods like soybeans, pumpkin seeds and certain nuts are beneficial to the skin.
Drinking lots of water (1.5 liters daily, at least) leads to healthy skin. Drinking lots of alcohol, coffee, soft drinks and sugar-rich drinks leads to unhealthy skin.
Too much iodine (fish and table salt) can make acne worse. The same can be said for eating too many dairy products such as eggs, cheese, milk and the like.

How To Get Rid Of Pimples Acne-inc
Acne is the most common of all skin diseases. Nearly 85% of people between the ages of 12 and 25 suffer from it. And as many as 50% of adult men and women suffer from acne outbreaks at some point in their life.. However the other 50% are not spared from the age old question How to get rid of zits?

Taking a healthy approach to treating acne is very important. Here are a few basic tips on how to get rid of acne.

Don't pick or press your pimples. If you do you will spread the bacteria under the skin wich will promote swelling and increase your risk of scaring.

Wash once or twice a day. But go easy, washing with soap only removes the oil from surface and not the blocked pores. Use an oil free anti-bacterial face wash containing salicylic acid such as clearpores.

Don't use oily products like oil-based skin cleanser and moisturizers.

Don't use cleaners with granules such as exfoliating soaps or wallnut hulls.

Facials do more harm than good. And try to use water based make-up.

Try avoiding touching your face, like resting your chin or cheeks in your hands. Fingers are very oily and full of bacteria.

Use herbal supplements to fight the acne bacteria from inside where it grows. Dandelion root, aloe vera and yellow dock a a few of the herbs wich rebuild cells and can help reduce inflammation.

Try to avoid products containing benzyl peroxide this ingredient is quite strong and reduces skin moisture and causes skin irritation and severe redness.

Use a water based product containing salicylic acid(2%) and SD alcohol 40 (1%). These medications
are used as skin treatments to treat acne, remove warts and to treat psoriasis and other skin conditions. Dermatologists recommend 2% of salicylic acid as the perfect amount to treat acne.

Don't wait if you have pimples, we encourage you to treat your acne early. The sooner you do, the happier you will be. You also help prevent any scars that might appear in the future. If you already have scars, there is treatment available such as microdermabraision or laser skin resurfasing.

You might be surprised by the results.

    Acne Blue Light Therapy
Acne Blue Light Therapy has become a popular trend in recent years. The research and studies to date have shown that it can be successful to treat acne with blue light therapy and this conclusion opened up another avenue for patients who continue to suffer from acne after trying all other options or patients who cannot for one reason or another use certain treatments.

The purpose of the acne blue light therapy is to get rid of the cause acne eruptions. It does this by destroying the bacteria that causes acne in the first place, P. acnes. P. acnes causes the inflammation of the skin by emitting molecules known as porphyrins.

Studies show that if these porphyrin molecules are put under a particular wavelength of blue light, they let loose free radicals which end up harming the bacteria causing the acne clears to clear up eventually.

The light therapy is a better process than other acne reducing procedures such as medication. This is because it is completely natural, it is non invasive and the procedure has very little side affects. People of ages and various skin types can use it daily without any problems.

The procedure usually takes place in a total of eight sessions, lasting for fifteen minutes each. They go on for about a month. The side affects are minimal. A person may suffer from swelling in the treated areas. The skin might be dry and there may be skin pigment changes.

Because of these reasons, this treatment has been approved by many professionals for patients with inflammatory acne lesions and not recommended for those who suffer from nodulocystic acne.

The acne light therapy of today can be seen advertised on TV, the internet and other forms of media throughout the world. Unlike previous light therapy methods to treat acne, FDA approved Acne Blue light products currently do not use UV light.

Acne Here, Acne There, Is there a Solution?

Over fifty percent of adults are prone to acne. In fact, almost all people have developed acne at some point. It usually occurs during adolescence because of the hormonal changes; and absolutely in any race, gender, age, of lifestyle.
Unknowingly, acne also has psychological effects on adolescents having acne problems. At this time, social pressure is at its highest, and they don't want to be criticized or laughed at.
Ever heard of the "acne myth"? It says that acne is caused by dirt and oil on the skin's surface which somehow leads to infection under the skin. True, acne happens when sebaceous glands produce oil that is emptied on the skin, together with dead skin cells being shed. When these dead skin cells clump together and clog the pore, it will result to acne. Once the excess skin cells combine with oil, bacteria will develop bringing about inflammatory acne. But contrary to the myth, acne is not caused by dirt.
There are factors that contribute to acne it includes hygiene, hormonal changes, stress, and other factors. With today's technology, acne solutions are widely available, with many brands to choose from; these acne solutions control the production and binding dihydro testosterone or DHT in the skin. By making use of acne solutions, the development of acne can be controlled.
Below is a list of acne solutions and medications that can answer your acne problem:
    1. Benzoyl Peroxide; you can get this medication over-the-counter, it causes the skin to dry and peel, and helps in unclogging the pores thereby killing the bacteria
    2. Hydrogen Peroxide; too harsh to use, but it can keep the skin clean
    3. Azelaic acid; it is an antibacterial cream that unclogs pores
    4. Retinoids; a vitamin A derivative and is a proven effective medication for acne control
    5. Isotretinoin or accutane; treats severe acne, both nodular and cystic cases
    6. Salicylic Acid; unclogs pores and renew the skin
    7. Antibiotics; eliminates bad bacteria and fights infection
    8. Anti-Androgens; reduces oil and hormone production
Having acne should be able to encourage you in making changes in your lifestyle, especially your eating habits. Avoid anything that will otherwise make the situation worse. For some people, the quickest way to stop acne is not by actually using acne solutions, but by stopping bad habits that makes acne outbreaks frequent. There are times when you become mindful of little details that can help in improving the situation.
However, if you still want to use any acne solution, it is best if you can consult a dermatologist first. People have different skin types, and your medication will usually depend on it and the extent of your problem with acne. Though time is one factor that many people consider when treating their acne, grabbing a strong medicine does not make any sense.
People suffering from acne problems should stay informed of the many options available for treatment. Get yourself educated and make sure that you choose the right approach to acne treatment. The degree of success in treating acne is not the same all throughout.
If after several treatments of acne solutions, there seems to be no improvement, it might be time for you to get medical assistance. Acne is not just a skin condition; it may also be a symptom of hormonal imbalance or other more complicated cases.

    Acne: Solutions to Treating Acne

Bacteria and other microorganisms may cause serious damage to the health of a person. The effects of this may happen internally while some may affect the individual externally.
One of these external problems is a skin disorder better known as Acne. This happens when the body produces excess oils and when mixed with dirt and dust can cause the person to have cysts and or spots of different colors on the face.
Acne affects millions of Americans every year. Almost 80% of all teenagers will experience this, which may also happen in the late 20's or early 30's especially for women.
Doctors are unable to determine the cause of Acne but believe this is related to hormones specifically testosterone. Another interesting factor is heredity so if the parents have this, there is a very strong possibility that the individual also will.
There are two types of Acne and the symptoms developed by the person will tell if this is either inflammatory or non-inflammatory.
First is inflammatory. People who suffer from this will have white heads and pimples that will turn red. In some cases, pustules may also develop and this will spread not only to the face but also to other parts of the body such as the neck, back, chest and groin.
The effects of this type of Acne are very permanent leaving one with scars even after getting treatment. The only way to get rid of it will be through surgery.
Non-inflammatory Acne is more common among patients. This will usually appear in the form of a few whiteheads and blackheads that can be remedied using over the counter medicines.
There are other things that can be recommended to fight Acne. These solutions can be recommended by dermatologists, bought in the supermarket or ordered online.
The person will notice that these solutions usually come in packs. The first part will involve using a renewing cleanser. The individual will need this to exfoliate dead skin cells.
An ingredient known as benzoyl peroxide formula that is an essential part of the Acne solution will then penetrate into the pores and clean the blemishes fast.
The next thing that will be used in the pack is a revitalizing toner. This solution is alcohol free and will help unplug pores, remove dead skin cells and excess oil leaving the skin feeling refreshed. This also uses some botanical agents to give back the user one's natural skin color.
The finishing touch for Acne is a repairing lotion. This is an oil free solution that also contains a little amount of benzoyl peroxide just like in the cleanser. This will heal blackheads and other blemishes, which is designed to prevent Acne from ever happening again.
Before buying the Acne solution pack, its best to check if the individual will have any allergies due to the ingredients used in making the product. Should there be no problem, the person should buy it and apply it using cotton buds to clean the entire face.
The person will usually see the results after two or three weeks use. The results between one individual over another will vary and the user will only know what will happen after trying it.
Acne is a treatable disorder. Finding a remedy early on can eliminate the possibility of having permanent marks on the face.

How Can You Have Clear Black Skin After Acne Treat

Acne is a serious skin disease, which occurs to anyone irrespective of his or her age, sex or race. This acute skin condition can consist blackheads, whiteheads, red spots and even deeper boil-like lesions called nodules or cysts. Thing is that, acne is something, which your skin dreads of .In fact, black men and women find it hard to deal with their problem of acne. Now, keeping that in mind let’s find out how to have clear black skin after acne treatment.
People from Africa, Native Australians, African-Americans, Caribbean and other islands have dark skin because the melanin content in the skin is quite high. Melanin actually protects the skin from the strong rays of the sun. Despite that their skin still is susceptible to acne. It is not surprising that many black skinned people suffer from this skin ailment.
Tips For Treating Acne On Black Skin
Acne treatments are not categorized for black or white skins. There are a number of remedies that you can rely on irrespective whether you are black skinned or white skinned. As first things first, the best that you can do for your black skin is follow good hygiene. Make sure that you religiously clean your face with a cleanser or soap at least once or twice daily. This ensures clean and oil-free skin. Try not to indulge in frequent washing. This would surely expose your skin to the harmful environment. Consider the products that you would apply on your skin before buying.
Homemade remedies are ideal for acne treatments. Cucumber, lemon, lime, tea tree oil, honey, oats, tomatoes, orange and turmeric can be the reason for your cure. The least you should do is apply it as a paste and leave it on for 15-30 minutes before washing it off. It not only destroys bacteria but also pulls out the excess oil making your skin ever so fresh and supple.
You may even trawl around for some non-prescription products in the market. Something like Benzoyl Peroxide or is it Salicylic Acid that can help you dispose of that agonizing skin problem.
When everything fails as acne treatment for your black skin, make sure that you seek the help of a doctor. Mind you, the option is suitable to those who have severe acne problems. Your doctor will see to it that you get more effective acne treatment for your skin. Azelaic acid, a good alternative to Benzoyl Peroxide, Antibiotic lotions and Oral antibiotics are all that is required to do away with acne. And if that doesn’t work then a laser treatment may be your ultimate resort.
There couldn’t have been any better tips as above to relief your black skin from acne.

How Do You Get Rid Of Body Acne , Body Basics
Planning a vacation by the sea?
And feeling self-conscious about putting on the swimming suit? No doubt, those jiggling arms, the paunch and body acne are the causes of concern.
Well, the gym will give you the flat abs and toned arms and legs that you can flaunt.
And if you are thinking how do you get rid of body acne, then there is a host of remedys to treat the problem. Acne is a common problem, both among teens and the adult population, and 75% of those afflicted also have acne in various parts of their body, like the back, chest and shoulders.
    Tips to Treat Body Acne
The good thing about body acne is that the course of treatment is similar to one followed on the facial skin. But on the flip side of this, body acne does not respond that readily to the conventional modes of treatment.
The best advice that your dermatologist will tender to cure body acne is steer clear of tight-fitting clothes, even on your date with that gorgeous guy.
Tight clothes do not let the perspiration escape and mixed with the body oils, it congests the body pores.
The result: spots, whiteheads and pimples.
To help control acne, a salicylic-acid-based cleanser can be used daily with frequent showers to prevent the oil build-up. A benzoyl peroxide solution, but in low concentration to prevent redness, is also a popular acne cure.
Follow it up with the alpha hydroxy acid-based moisturizer that will double up as an exfoliating agent. Exfoliation with a coarse cloth or a liquid scrub can be employed in order to prevent the oil and dirt build-up in your body. Some dermatologists also recommend chemical exfoliating agents like glycolic acid to have the uppermost layer of the skin cleaned.
If you are confronted with a particularly stubborn acne problem, then some forms of a topical retinoid or a course in oral antibiotics (like tetracycline, oxytetracycline, doxycycline, minocycline or lymecycline, trimethoprimare) are good remedies.
You can expect results from as early as a week.
Hormones have been proven to be one of the prime causes of acne outbreaks. And hormonal treatment is making rapid strides as effective acne cures.
Birth control pills, which are blends of oestrogen and progestogen, have been used by women since quite some time, while the anti-testosterone Cyproterone in tune with an oestrogen is one newcomer causing quite a stir in the realm of acne treatment.
You have quite a choice when it comes to ways to treat body acne.
Choose one that suits you and a clear skin is not too far away.

Not everyone can afford the high fees of dermatologists and not to mention the overpriced drugs that they prescribe. So joining an acne forum can be a great way to find out about acne without spending a dime. All you need is an internet access, and that's it!

I was actually having second thoughts about researching for acne forums. I thought that not a lot of people would want to discuss this dreaded skin condition. To my surprise however, I found out that there are so many people who are actually seeking for help and that there are others who are actually glad to help those are in dire need to advise. An acne forum can also serve as a support group. I know that acne can really bruise self-esteem. I know. I've been there. But when I joined an acne forum, I was surrounded by people who are going through the same thing. And in the forum, not only do we discuss acne, but life in general as well. Why not try joining an acne forum yourself? Who knows, you might not only gain the knowledge to fight acne, you might gain friends as well.

Tips On How To Get Rid Of Pimples At Home

You might not be aware but the solution to your pimples lies right in your home. Have you ever asked the elder members in your family on how to get rid of acne? You will be surprised with the variety of tips on how to get rid of pimples at home they have to offer.
The best part is that you can do all this with the things available at home and do not incur any extra cost but the results are always spectacular.
    Simple Things To The Rescue
You will not believe what ordinary everyday things can do, for example take the common toothpaste (not the gel type), dab a little of this on the acne and you will find how effectively it dries out your pimple. The same effect can also be brought about by holding a used tea bag or a cotton ball drenched in lemon juice.
You could make a solution of camphor lotion, honey and tomato juice and apply it on your face and keep it for 15 minutes. Wash it off with luke warm water and follow it up with a cold water rinse, it helps to control acne.
Groundnut oil mixed with an equal amount of limejuice if applied on the affected part of the face prevents the formation of pimples. Again, glycerine mixed with borax powder, water and camphor lotion also makes an effective acne controller.
Turmeric plays an extremely important part in Oriental homes because of its myriad curative properties. One amongst them is its power to treat acne especially when it is mixed with whole-wheat flour. Another method is when it is mixed with sugarcane juice.
Oriental cuisine is also fond of garlic because of its many curative qualities. Apart from many ailments it also has the power to prevent one of pimples. You could cleanse your skin with a mixture of 3 parts water and garlic juice and follow it up by applying raw garlic on the pimples. This not only cures the acne but also rids the skin of any blemishes caused by it.
Another method that says bye bye to your acne is a mixture of fresh limejuice, glycerine and boiled milk. This prevents pimples and also gets rid of blackheads. The juice of raw papaya could also be applied for preventing pimples.
One thing you could do to control acne in general is to wash your face with lukewarm salty water. This helps to keep your face oil free and hence pimple free.
Lastly, do not forget to lead a healthy lifestyle with a minimum of stress, drinking lots of water and maintaining a balanced diet to help these natural remedies to take full effect.

Papaya For Acne Prone Skin - The Tropical Fruit Th
Over sixty million Americans today have the skin condition known as acne. Acne is a non-contagious skin and inflammatory disease that affects the pores covering the face, chest, arms and back along with the oil glands attached to them. Too much oil, known as sebum, is produced by the sebaceous gland and causes a course and greasy complexion. When the pores holding our hairs get blocked by oil and dead skin cells, eruptions called acne pimples are formed.

An effective ingredient in skin care is papaya (Carica papaya, also known as powpow) because it exfoliates damaged and dead skin cells. Exfoliating the skin removes the cells that cause clogged pores that can result in skin eruptions. The fruit, seeds, skin and leaves of the papaya are all rich in essential enzymes that give this fruit outstanding topical medicinal properties for the treatment of skin conditions. Studies done in the West Indian Medical Journal confirm the healing abilities of papaya and its capability to rejuvenate and repair the skin.

Different parts of the fruit contain various essential enzymes that act similarly to restorative and preventative medicines. The leaves of the papaya contain alkalide capain, the seeds have cericin and the fruit itself has a protein dissolving enzyme called papain.

The most research has been done about the enzyme papain, which has been proven to whiten and soften the skin, and has been effectively used to heal wounds and insect stings. The juice of raw papaya has been shown to be beneficial in the treatment of swollen acne pimples and prevents pus formation. Papain has also been shown to be helpful in removing brown spots due to sun exposure, lowering inflammation, alleviating edemas and even improving healing from burns. Further, because papain enzymes are quite effective in dissolving fats to purge the skin and make it feel softer, they are a viable ingredient in many beauty products today. Removing lipids from the surface of the skin prevents clogged pores and the subsequent development of pimples.

Papaya is not just a tasty tropical fruit. The leaves, seeds, skin and fruit the papaya contain essential enzymes that can restore and rejuvenate the skin naturally so that you look and feel great.

You Are Not Alone In Fighting Acne
If you need advice on anything where do you go? I'm pretty sure
that you would say that you usually run to your friends,
siblings or even your parents. But what if the information you
need is something that they cannot give? Well fret not! There a
lot of resources you can rely on. Now, if you have problems with
acne would like to clear your face once and for all, where do
you go for the information? I'm sure that you have consulted
with a dermatologist, at least once. But if you need further
information, say, other's people's experiences or product
recommendations, you would definitely do well if you would join
acne forums. There are a lot of acne forums on the world wide
web that you will surely find the information and support that
    you need.
An acne forums is a community of people who are either: a)
individuals suffering from acne, b) individuals who have
triumphed over acne and c) dermatologists and other medical
professionals who help people fight acne. Joining an acne forum
is a very inexpensive way to learn the different
over-the-counter medications that will help you get rid of acne
once and for all. Whatever acne you might have - blackheads,
whiteheads or cystic acne - I'm sure that you will be able to
find the help you need. Not everyone can afford the high fees
of dermatologists and not to mention the overpriced drugs that
they prescribe. So joining an acne forum can be a great way to
find out about acne without spending a dime. All you need is an
    internet access, and that's it!
I was actually having second thoughts about researching for
acne forums. I thought that not a lot of people would want to
discuss this dreaded skin condition. To my surprise however, I
found out that there are so many people who are actually
seeking for help and that there are others who are actually
glad to help those are in dire need to advise. There are so
many people out there willing to share their secrets on how
they beat acne. I was surprised to find out that there are a
lot of home remedies that will alleviate acne. I'm sure that
you will be happy to know that these home remedies will only
cost you very little compared to prescription drugs. All you
need to do is to go online and join an acne forum.
An acne forum can also serve as a support group. I know that
acne can really bruise self-esteem. I know. I've been there.
But when I joined an acne forum, I was surrounded by people who
are going through the same thing. And in the forum, not only do
we discuss acne, but life in general as well. Why not try
joining an acne forum yourself? Who knows, you might not only
gain the knowledge to fight acne, you might gain friends as
    well.

ll Natural Skin Care Treatments For Your

Skin is your largest and most visible organ since it covers the
entire body. Having attractive, healthy skin starts from the
inside and reflects on the outside. The first step towards
taking proper care of your skin is to determine what type of
skin you are in right now. The American Academy of Dermatology
acknowledges several different types of skin. Your skin type
can also change depending upon certain internal factors, such
as health problems, hormonal imbalances or taking certain
    medications.
The following are guidelines to help you identify your
particular kind of skin and choose products with all natural
skin care ingredients that are suitable for it:
Normal: This type of skin is neither exceedingly dry or oily
and usually has no blemishes or discolorations. Natural
treatments include chamomile, cypress, camphor, rose, lavender,
rosemary, sweet almond oil, grape seed and soy.
Dry: If you skin is flaky, ashy, and tight but lacking in
elasticity, you have dry skin. Herbal remedies include orange,
jasmine, carrot seed, avocado, calendula, rose hips and rice
    bran.
Oily: Skin that appears slick or shiny with enlarged pores is
considered oily. A tissue rubbed against this skin will have
oily residue on it from all areas of your face. Helpful herbs
include lemongrass, peppermint, thyme, cedar wood, geranium,
patchouli, hazelnut, olive and refined coconut oil.
Combination: If you have combination skin, your forehead, chin
and nose are oily and there are dry patches near your hair and
jaw lines. When you rub a tissue on your skin and only the
t-zone areas around your forehead, nose and chin yield oily
residue, then you surely have combination skin. Holistic
solutions for combination skin include ylang ylang, rosewood,
    sweet orange, jojoba and apricot.
Acne-prone: Skin with enlarged pores that is disposed to
clogging, blackheads, whiteheads, cysts and redness is
acne-prone. Herbal remedies such as tea tree oil, manuka,
basil, mint, grapefruit, coriander, lime, hazelnut and grape
seed are often used for acne-prone skin.
Sensitive: This type of skin is often blotchy and prone to
redness, rashes and irritation. Natural treatments with rose,
jasmine, carrot, almond, sesame, calendula and jojoba have been
    effective and are usually non-irritating.
Water is another simple, all natural skin care solution for
people with all types of skin to keep hydrated. Experts have
found that healthy skin is promoted by consuming water equal to
half of your body weight in ounces. For example, if you weigh
150 pounds, you would drink 75 ounces of water a day for
maximum health benefits. Furthermore, the simplest and most
effective skin care regime includes a using a gentle cleanser,
moisturizer and sunscreen all year round.
By figuring out your individual skin type, you can incorporate
all natural skin care products into a simple routine to enhance
the health of your skin so that you can look and feel your best
    everyday.

Acne Natural Cure - Simple And Effective Ways To

Finding a remedy for your outbreaks of pimples isnt too hard
to do. The trick is getting one that works for your specific
type of acne outbreaks and is natural. Dont get discouraged
about it, you can have clear and healthy skin, it will just
take a little experimentation and patience. Know about some
treatments that have been beneficial as an acne natural cure
for stubborn skin problems that you can use at home.
There are several types of treatments for blemishes and using
them isnt all that hard. One treatment for blackheads is a
wash of lime and milk. All you have to do is bring the milk to
a gentle boil, and then add the juice from one lime, and you
can wash your face. Let it cool a little, and if it feels too
    hot dont use it.
Another type of acne natural cure is to use an astringent for a
deep cleaning of your pores. At your local grocery store buy a
leafy mango. Boil it in some water, and then rub it after it
cools on your face. If your case of pimples isnt too severe
you can just leave the mango to soak overnight. Its an acne
natural cure that will clean your pores thoroughly.
Something that you probably eat everyday in some form is good
for your skin as well. A raw potato is a perfect acne natural
cure, especially for whiteheads. The vitamin C gives your skin
a healthy glow, and its alkaline gets rid of the bacteria on
your face. The potato has an acid in it too that clean dead or
dying skin cells on your face, which works as an acne natural
    cure.
Dont forget that you can use the papaya fruit on your face,
but it needs to be raw. An acne natural cure with these types
of applications will help your skin stay healthy by stopping
    infection from spreading.
Finally, remember that any acne remedy might leave your skin a
little dry for moisture at times during treatments. A good way
to rehydrate your skin after using an acne natural cure is to
use Almond Oil. Youll need to buy a bag of almonds, and grind
up with water approximately 4 to 5 good sized almond nuts.
Spread the paste on your face, and dont scrub. It will smooth
the face and add some moisture too. Buttermilk is another way
to treat skin for dryness, and so are curds.
If youve tried every over the counter medication for it and
its just not working, than you might want to use an acne
natural cure. You can find a treatment solution in an acne
natural cure, but take your time, and find out what works for
    you.

Acne - All About Acne Care And Treatments

Acne wont get you any dates, thats certain teenagers hate it,
and adults sufferers dont embrace it either. As most teenage
girls will show, pimples arise at the most unfortunate moments,
which can be anytime on any given day for them. Acne affects
self respect, self value and self identity and can turn a once
    outgoing person into a recluse.
There are different types of acne that arise on the body and
not just on the face, which is the most common. Acne, commonly
known as pimples, zits, whiteheads, or blackheads, start to
form in hair follicles or pores when the oil or sebum is
trapped under the skin surface causing bacteria to form.
Acne can be mild or severe, which is called acne vulgaris, and
can cause disfiguration and severe scar. Its important to keep
hands off, and if you must, wash the area and your hands first.
If you are successful in drive out any of the sticky
ingredients, be careful not to spread it to surrounding areas
where it can cause another outbreak.
Popping is tempting, because you just want it to go away. It
will not always cause scar, but only pop if its ripe and ready
Otherwise, the skin can become more irritated if you continue to
pick at it, then a coating will form and more bacteria has been
spread as well, leaving you with a bigger mess.
If you must pop, you should wash your face with clean and warm
water and remove all makeup and wash your hands also. Try to
avoid using your fingernails because dirt can be trapped under
which will be introduced to the open skin when popping and
spread germs. Use a tissue to apply pressure or an instrument
specifically designed for this purpose. Stop after emission has
been expelled and if nothing comes out, this will just create
    further irritation.
There are many different acne treatments available, some work
and some dont. If acne is severe it would be wise to consult a
dermatologist, who can prescribe a treatment plan to reduce the
number of outbreaks, and subsequent scarring. The most common
ingredient in most acne treatments is 2.5% benzoyl peroxide,
which can be very useful for mild to moderate acne in
combination with regular gentle cleansing of the skin.
There are also many websites dedicated to various acne
treatments that provide information for the acne sufferer. For
those who have severe cases, antibiotics or Retin A may also be
added to the treatment regimen. Whatever type of acne you suffer
from, no matter if it is mild or severe, it is possible to have
clean skin. Start now and send acne on its way, forever.

    Best Natural Acne Treatments Ever

Finding the best natural acne treatments ever really depends on who is looking. The mistaken notion is that teens mainly fall victim to acne.
However, you may be surprised to know that 80% of adults between 25-39 suffer with acne. Some still wage the acne battle well into their forties.
The dilemma for this group of acne sufferers is that they are seeking treatment that was formulated for a younger age group. They are using treatment for their acne that was made with younger skin in mind. More oilier skin.
The more mature acne sufferer is caught out. In a way they are forced to seek alternatives in the natural arena. This is not a bad alternative.
Natural medicines are toxic free and tend to zero in on the underlying causes. While the over the counter acne medications tend to zero in on symptoms only.
It is easy for this group to find the information for themselves on the internet. And many prefer to make their own concoctions to fight their acne battle.
The most all round, versatile acne treatment is Aloe Vera. This miracle plant can stand alone when battling many of todays diseases. Acne included.
It has healing properties that are second to none. It has been known to reduce inflammation, and hold acne off from an imminent attack. So it can also prevent the spread of acne.
Aloe Vera Gel stands out as one of the best natural acne treatments we can have in our arsenal. It also mixes well with other potent natural treatments.
Although Aloe Vera can be used as a moisturizer by itself, it can also be added to most any other product.
Acne brings with it pain, irritation, and pustules. Certain healing herbs can be made into a poultice and applied to the affected areas.
A really ancient but effective treatment is the use of the leaves of the strawberry plant.
Moisten the leaves with water and put them directly on the affected areas. You can even mash up the strawberry and apply it as a paste to the face.
Dandelion is very effective in fighting acne. Use the complete dandelion plant. Root, leaves, and stem. Chop, boil, simmer and then strain the dandelion. Use the liquid as a tea and/or apply it directly to the affected areas.
The best natural acne treatments are great because like dandelion, many can be used internally as well as externally.
It is a given that when acne surfaces there are internal problems that manifest themselves externally.
A singular focus on the skin is not a wholesome way to approach acne treatment. A two pronged attack is the way to go.
A wonderful penetrative agent is Tea Tree Oil. It can go very deep into the skin and spread its antibacterial and antifungal properties.
Diet is another crucial plank. Fresh pumpkins and carrots loaded with beta carotene strengthen the immune system. Vitamins A, B complex and E uphold the integrity of the skin. Mix these with regular exercise and you are fortified against acne.
The best natural acne treatments ever should employ a comprehensive approach. The absolute best benefit in seeking a natural remedy for acne is that there are no side affects. Find out more about acne in this ebook. Get it here: http://wyclefinnovations.com/afdsp.html

    Causes Of Acne

When it comes to acne, many people think that only teenagers suffer from this type of skin problem. The truth is, however, that adults also deal with acne every day. Although it often seems to be the case, nobody has perfect skin. Even if someone's complexion appears flawless, you can rest assured that they either know a few makeup tricks or use effective acne treatments to keep their skin healthy. Because cosmetics are often associated with causing acne, covering up your problem areas may be doing more harm than good. Therefore, the best way to combat acne is with acne products designed to nip it in the bud.
Although the exact cause of acne is not known, there are a number of factors that are widely believed to contribute to its occurrence. Among them, family genes, hormones and stress. If close relatives are known acne sufferers, it's a good indication that acne treatments may be in your future. Hormones, which change normally during teen years and/or pregnancy, are also a leading cause of acne according to some researchers. Stress, which is the least discussed cause, has the potential to affect your entire body, including your complexion. Some sufferers may experience an acne breakout on their jaw, forehead, chin or neck when they are under an elevated amount of stress. Oily skin, which is often associated with teenagers, also plagues many well into adulthood.
In addition to natural causes of acne, certain types of medication and/or cosmetics may also lead to a breakout. Cosmetics, in particular, may increase the potential for pores to become clogged. When this occurs, acne may not be far behind. If you wear cosmetics, it's important to completely remove them before going to bed at night. You must also remove your makeup prior to applying lotions, creams, or other types of moisturizing products.
Just as there are a number of causes for acne, there are different acne products designed to treat and minimize breakouts. In addition to prescription-only medication, there are a number of dermatologist tested acne products that are available as over-the-counter purchases. While there is currently no absolute cure for acne, there are many acne treatments available to help your skin regain a healthy and vibrant appearance.
Whether you receive a prescription for acne products or purchase them over the counter, always be sure to research the product and its active ingredients. How fast is the product supposed to work? Are there any potential side effects and, if so, what are they? When you become more informed of a product and it's capabilities, you will be able to make an informed decision as to which acne treatments will be most effective for you.
The information contained in this article is designed to be used for reference purposes only. It should not be used in place of professional medical advice or recommendations relating to the use of acne products and/or acne treatments. If you believe that you have a problem with acne that requires medical attention, consult a physician or dermatologist for a professional evaluation and recommended treatment program.

6 Home Remedies to Remove Acne Scars
Do you have acne scarring but plastic surgery is out of the question? No need to worry. While you may not get Dr. 90210 like results, items available in your own kitchen can help improve acne scarring if done correctly.
In two simple steps, all you need to do to affordably improve your acne scarring is:
    1. Gently remove the damaged layers of the skin and
    2. Nurture your skin with collagen and moisture building foods so that your skin can more rapidly repair itself.
    Acne Scar Remedy 1: Lemons
If your acne scars are dark, you can use lemon juice to lighten them. First, cleanse the scar with water. Dab one teaspoon of lemon juice into a cotton ball and smooth it over the acne marks. Leave for ten minutes, then rinse. Use caution with lemon juice because it can make your skin photosensitive. So be certain to use a sunscreen on any area you treat with lemon juice prior to going out into the sun.
    Acne Scar Remedy 2: Soda
Exfoliate your skin with baking soda. Often times, a version of baking soda is used in cosmetic microdermabrasion treatments. You can give yourself a mini microdermabrasion treatment by mixing one teaspoon of baking soda with the two teaspoons of filtered water. Then gently rub the mixture on your acne scar for sixty seconds then rinse it off.
    Acne Scar Remedy 3: Olives
After exfoliating your skin with baking soda, massage a pea-sized amount of olive oil onto your face. Acne scaring can cause the skin to lose its elasticity and suppleness. The moisturizing nutrients in the olive oil will penetrate the skin to deeply moisturize the skin and soften the skin's texture.
    Acne Scar Remedy 4: Fruits
In addition to eating fresh fruits to supply your skin with collagen building vitamin C, you can also smear them onto your face for gentle acid exfoliation. Just puree a forth a cup of pineapple and smooth it onto your face. Leave it for 10-15 minutes, then rinse. Since the pineapple contains ascorbic acid, it will impart a brightening effect on the face, and help fade acne marks.
    Acne Scar Remedy 5: Water
It cannot be said enough. Your skin needs water. Especially when you want to promote the type of skin repair needed to heal acne scarring. Your skin needs water to keep the skin plump, to remove toxins, and the build new skin cells. Drink at least 80 ounces of filtered water a day to give your skin the quality and quantity of water it needs to reveal healthier, fresher skin.
    Acne Scar Remedy 6: Consistency
The ultimate ingredient needed to completely remove acne scars is consistency. Acne scars form over a series of weeks, layer by layer. To remove the acne scarring, you need to use your acne home remedy on a daily basis to remove the damaged scar tissue layer by layer.
To be successful at fading and healing your acne scars at home, you just need to plan in advance. Devote time to removing the damaged skin and giving yourself the nutrients you need to build healthier skin. For example, you can decide to spend five minutes a day exfoliating your skin with baking soda or pineapple and another ten minutes enjoying collagen building foods like soy, grapes or oranges. Do it consistently and you will see and improvement in your scars.

    Treat Your Acne Softly
Treating here does not mean that you should keep your acne
safely spreading on your face. Not of course. Some are confused
about how to keep the faces clean and clear without any
blemishes and acne. Zits? Will be included inside. Some who
keep track on the skin maintenance lead themselves for lots of
    non and medical products.
External treatment usually involves the way you are preparing a
method to cleanse your face. It is important because a proper
step of cleansing will be very helpful to prevent acne coming
to your face. some medical treatment should be maintained in
some strict period of time for avoiding acne, then it is
continuing with a regular treatment when the case is getting
softer until your face is totally free of acne
How is the result expected from it?
Various results are coming to the surface. Certainly they will
not come as instantly as they have wished previously. Knowing
that sometimes it is not going to be that easy to maintain
their skin condition, they are really eager to conduct several
ways for getting rid of acnes and pimples. Most of them are
concerned only for the external treatment, such as putting some
    acne lotion or mask.
And most of them are not fully concerned for how important the
    internal treatment will be.
Acne is really related to the case of hormonal change in your
body. And this means that both internal and external treatments
should be conducted to control the acne spreading on the face.
The combination of a good healthy style of food to be intaking
and regular deep cleansing of your face every time you arrive
home and be prepared to go on sleeping will be some good
preferences to eliminate acne and let your face deeply clean.
A good diet in acne does not mean you should get away your
favorite food to taste. you can stil enjoy how juicy the creamy
food and the greasy ones which by some opinion they will lead to
worsen the acne condition. A balance type of diet will be really
assisting then hopefully it can be mainitained properly
following the age and the type of your activity,
And remember....it does not need a very high cost to get rid of
your acne stories from your memory.
Simple and soft ways to be done then.

Solutions For The Problem Of Teen Acne
Solutions For The Problem Of Teen Acne
    Written by Frank Cordova
Researchers have shown that worldwide the adolescent population,
regardless of ethnicity or race, has suffered occasional pimples,
whiteheads or blackheads at least once in their life. Studies show that
the ages of 12 to 20 is the prime time for occurrence of acne because the
    hormone levels become higher.
The Root Cause Of Teen Acne
When a boy or a girl enters puberty his or her body starts to produce
hormones called androgens. This androgen increases the size of the
sebaceous gland, hiking up the production of sebum. The excess of oil
produced along with general dirt and dead skin clogs the pores of the skin
or hair follicles and forms a micro-comedone (microscopic lesion), the
material that gets trapped reacts with bacteria and causes redness,
    swelling and sometimes pus.
Secretion of endogenous hormones like androgens and progesterone in teens
is the internal cause triggering acne.
Drugs like isoniazid, corticosteroids, phenytoin, oral contraceptive pills
and compounds containing lithium also causes acne.
Skin bacteria, especially Propionibacterium acnes, petroleum, vegetable
and animal oils, cosmetics containing oil or wax, local pressure from
objects like shoulder pads, helmets or headbands are some of the external
causes of acne. Sometimes, excess motional stress or perspiration can fan
    the flames of acne.
People are not genetically predisposed to acne according to their racial
or ethnic origin. But some cultural practices like cultural grooming with
oily ingredients can cause blockage of sebaceous gland causing acne.
You will be happy to know that chocolates or greasy foods are not the
    cause of acne.
    Treatments Of Teen Acne
Today is not the age to shy away from these ugly spots. Advance medical
technology with state of the art cures will help you get rid of acne. For
someone who is first going to be treated for acne it is best to start up
with a topical antibacterial therapy like some antibacterial preparation.
If the symptom persists with increased degree of inflammation it is better
    to switch to oral antibiotics.
Benzoyl peroxide, resorcinol, salicylic acid, and sulfur are the topical
treatments used as “peeling agents” causing irritation and drying. They
help the body to shed off the dead cells and kill off the acne-causing
    bacteria.
Benzoyl peroxide combined with an antibiotic such as Erythromycin or
Oxytetracycline can destroy bacteria and reduce inflammation.
Vitamin A derivatives called Retinoids are also a prescription drug used
to cure acne. Retinoids help unblock the pores of the skin promoting the
skin renewal process, reducing sebum production and causing the dead skin
to be shed off of the body. Accutane (isotretinoin) is approved by the FDA
to treat severe cystic acne for people where other treatments failed to
cure acne. But this drug can be dangerous if taken during pregnancy, so
the FDA does not recommend the drug for a woman of childbearing age.
Retin-A (tretinoin) is an acne-preventing drug but it is for application
on the skin and not an oral drug. This medicine is quite safe even during
    pregnancy.
Topical antibiotics like a cream or a powder also can eradicate bacteria
and control acne at certain stages. However, sometimes these drugs can
cause side effects like emotional upheavals, so you should first consult
your doctor before starting up with any treatment regime.
The Steps To Keep Teen Acne At Bay
Clean your face with an appropriate and gentle cleanser in the morning and
    before going to bed.
Remember to remove the last speck of make-up from your face before going
    to bed.
You can use a treatment product, which will reduce inflammation, along
with exfoliating your skin to prevent future growth.
Apply a deep cleansing mask once a week to clean the skin impurities and
to shed off the dead skin cells that block the pores.
Go for the right make-up that suits your skin. Oil free cosmetics are
preferable. It is better if you

Herbal Skin Care - Herbs For Healing Acne
Herbs have been used for a wide variety of health care remedies
since the beginning of time. Using elements that occur naturally
can effectively treat acne and other skin conditions. Herbal
skin care is affordable, accessible and less like to cause skin
irritation and sensitivity than traditional medications. When
certain herbs are applied to your skin topically, they can be a
healthy alternative solution to prescription medications.
Eucalyptus: This essential oil comes from the eucalyptus tree,
which is one of the tallest known trees in the world and can be
found in Australia, Africa, North America, India and Southern
Europe. Eucalyptus is the most powerful antiseptic in its class
and has outstanding astringent qualities, which aid in the
    treatment of acne-prone skin.
Papaya Enzyme: The papaya is a tropical fruit that has a
nutrient-rich enzyme called papin. This enzyme is used to
dissolve unwanted proteins and other dead materials on the
surface of your skin. The papaya enzyme works to open pores,
exfoliate, promote the turnover of skin cells, soften and
smooth skin and improve your overall skin tone.
Sage: This silvery-green plant has fragrant leaves and is found
growing in the Mediterranean and North America. Sage oil
contains chemical substances and other constituents, such as as
camphor, cineole, rosmarinic acid, tannins and others. The
substances found in sage oil have antifungal, antibacterial and
antiviral effects, which make it an outstanding medicinal skin
    treatment.
Tea Tree Oil: Tea tree oil is obtained from the leaves of the
native Australian Melaleuca alternifolia tree. This oil has
natural antibacterial qualities, contains antiseptic compounds
and is proven to be a very good skin disinfectant. When used to
treat acne, it is just as effective as 5% benzoyl peroxide and
less drying. However, the results of treatment with tea tree
oil take just a little bit longer to see than with benzoyl
    peroxide.
Thyme: Thyme is the general name for herbs of the Thymus
species, which are native to the western Mediterranean region.
The essential thyme oil is located in the small glands on the
leaves and contains thymol, linalol and paracymene. Thyme is
effective in treating acne-prone skin because of its multiple
actions, including antibacterial, antioxidant, antiseptic and
    astringent.
Witch Hazel: Witch hazel is the common name for a genus of
shrubs known as Hamamelis and is rich in natural astringents
such as volatile oils and tannins. Witch hazel has antiseptic
capabilities that tone the skin and blood vessels, as well as
    draw out clogged pores.
Exploring holistic remedies can give you clearer, more healthy
skin. Incorporating herbal skin care products with natural
ingredients into your daily skin care regimen will improve your
    skin's overall appearance over time.

    Alternative Treatments For Acne
Alternative treatments are available for the curing of acne, as
is the case of any other disease. It is a skin disorder which
causes lesions in the skin, due to clogging in the
psilosebaceous glands. Acne is an often projected cosmetic
problem, which affects the emotional feelings of the person.
The fact that acne is more frequent among teenagers, increases
the treatments commercial value, since many of them want to
avoid acne any way they can. Scaring is one of the major
problems associated with acne. Alternative medicines advocate
many promising solutions to avoid acne problems.
Alternative medicine includes many different streams of
medicine. Most of the medicines offer more or less similar
basic treatment to all forms of acne such as pimples, white
heads, black heads or manulas. The main advantage of
alternative treatments is that they will help to reduce the
underlying factors of the acne manifestation. The treatment is
primarily focused to avoid clogging and bacterial growth and
some of the treatments also help to reduce the sebum secretion,
    also.
In Ayurveda, the Indian traditional medicine, acne is the
aggravation of pita vata dosha, which can be cured with dietary
restrictions. Chinese traditional medicine also suggests several
herbal remedies for treatment. The general herbs used for the
treatment of acne include black kosch, neem, Jin Ying Hua, and
Lian Qiao. Some of these treatment strategies suggest external
application of the pastes on the affected areas, to make their
    relief faster.
Food and nutrition is the most important factor in alternative
therapy. Fat and chocolates were blamed as the basic reason for
the outbreak of acne while the carotene rich foods such as
carrots, orange, and pumpkin seem to be very effective for the
well being of the acne patients. Vitamins such as A, E, B, and
C are also important for the skin texture and tone. Vitamin
therapists advise to have vitamin supplement for the
treatments. Zinc and chromium supplements, also seem to be
important and juice therapists advice to have fresh juice, to a
    reduce acne problems.
Body massage and pressure channeling alternative methods are
many body based treatments for acne treatment. Reflexology,
acupressure and yoga suggest many refreshing method for the
tension easing. Apart from massages, aromatherapy suggests
bathing in scented oils added water will help to minimize
    breakouts.
To be precise, alternative medicines suggest naturalistic
living for the person, as the most important treatment of acne.

Acne Natural Cure - Simple And Effective Ways To

Finding a remedy for your outbreaks of pimples isn’t too hard
to do. The trick is getting one that works for your specific
type of acne outbreaks and is natural. Don’t get discouraged
about it, you can have clear and healthy skin, it will just
take a little experimentation and patience. Know about some
treatments that have been beneficial as an acne natural cure
for stubborn skin problems that you can use at home.
There are several types of treatments for blemishes and using
them isn’t all that hard. One treatment for blackheads is a
wash of lime and milk. All you have to do is bring the milk to
a gentle boil, and then add the juice from one lime, and you
can wash your face. Let it cool a little, and if it feels too
    hot don’t use it.
Another type of acne natural cure is to use an astringent for a
deep cleaning of your pores. At your local grocery store buy a
leafy mango. Boil it in some water, and then rub it after it
cools on your face. If your case of pimples isn’t too severe
you can just leave the mango to soak overnight. It’s an acne
natural cure that will clean your pores thoroughly.
Something that you probably eat everyday in some form is good
for your skin as well. A raw potato is a perfect acne natural
cure, especially for whiteheads. The vitamin C gives your skin
a healthy glow, and its alkaline gets rid of the bacteria on
your face. The potato has an acid in it too that clean dead or
dying skin cells on your face, which works as an acne natural
    cure.
Don’t forget that you can use the papaya fruit on your face,
but it needs to be raw.
You’ll need to buy a bag of almonds, and grind
up with water approximately 4 to 5 good sized almond nuts.
Spread the paste on your face, and don’t scrub. It will smooth
the face and add some moisture too. Buttermilk is another way
to treat skin for dryness, and so are curds.
If you’ve tried every over the counter medication for it and
it’s just not working, than you might want to use an acne
natural cure. You can find a treatment solution in an acne
natural cure, but take your time, and find out what works for
    you.

Acne - All About Acne Care And Treatments.
Acne won’t get you any dates, that’s certain teenagers hate it,
and adults sufferers don’t embrace it either.
It’s important to keep
hands off, and if you must, wash the area and your hands first.
If you are successful in drive out any of the sticky
ingredients, be careful not to spread it to surrounding areas
where it can cause another outbreak.
Popping is tempting, because you just want it to go away. It
will not always cause scar, but only pop if it’s ripe and ready
There are many different acne treatments available, some work
and some don’t.

Acne Treatment - Go Natural Or Use Medicine?

A dermatologist can help discuss the different acne treatments currently available including treating acne with laser acne treatment or other acne surgeries. According to some researchers, the primary causes of acne are hormones and genetics, but this cannot account for every case. Natural skin care for acne is usually overlooked as many people are focusing on alleviating the symptom instead of solving the root of the problem.
It must be stated at the beginning that an exact cause of acne is unknown. Despite the endless research that has been done to date, nothing has ever been isolated as a primary cause for the development of acne. Teenagers are the most common sufferers of acne, purely because of the hormonal shifts that are associated with puberty. According to some researchers, the primary causes are hormones and genetics, but this cannot account for every case.
There are many treatments out there for acne but they all target different skin types. It is important to understand your skin type before you start any treatment in order to achieve optimal results. Once you have determined your skin type you can start an acne treatment and skin care.
There are many types of over-the-counter acne medication. Retinoids are a form of acne medicine that is produced from vitamin A and can be applied directly to the skin typically in the form of lotions or creams. Topical retinoid acne medicines are useful for treating blackheads and whiteheads by helping to open clogged pores. Topical prescription acne medicine may include ingredients such as zinc or retinoids.
Benzoyl peroxide has been proven to be safe and effective in combating lesions. It can also be used as a means of acne prevention once a breakout has cleared up by keeping the skin free from acne causing bacteria. The only side effect associated with this ingredient is dry skin, and this can be avoided by the use of moisturizer. As you can see, acne medication usually has its own side effects. While solving one skin problem, it may result in another type of skin problem and the solution to your acne problem may be endless as a result. That is why natural acne is gaining popularity nowadays.
The best acne treatment is the most natural acne treatment simply because the ingredients used are friendly to your skin and your health in general. For centuries, civilizations relied exclusively upon herbal and natural remedies for the treatment of every ailment, including acne.
Some examples of natural acne treatment include:
    Fenugreek leaves
This remedy provides great prevention of breakouts and involves taking the fenugreek leaves, crushing them, and making a paste out of them.
    Honey Mask
Another natural acne treatment is the use of honey because honey has naturally occurring anti-bacterial qualities. It is often applied to the face as a mask, killing surface bacteria.
    Burdock (Arctium lappa)
Used as a blood purifier when taken internally and as an antibacterial when applied topically.
    Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale)
Used as a liver purifier. The leaves may be applied topically in a poultice.
    Chaste tree berry (Vitex agnus)
Indicated for acne associated with the menstrual period.
    Tea tree (Melaleuca alternifolia)
Used as a skin disinfectant. It penetrates the skin layer and kills the bacterials. You can purchase tea tree oil or tea tree cream easily from most pharmacies.
    Alternate Hot/Cold Compresses
A chief natural / best acne treatment that is recommended more often than not is the usage of hot and cold wet towel compresses to reduce swelling and eliminate clogged pores--the major culprit in the production of acne.
    Oils and Juices
Though it can seem odd, the benefits of using natural substances like almond oil - which can actually help with the removal of acne scars - cannot be ignored. It is one of the best acne treatments. Apricot juice helps to alleviate the presence of cysts by cutting through them.
Because there are such a variety of approaches, knowing what is available will r

What Types Of Acne Cleansers Are Available Today?

What Types Of Acne Cleansers Are Available Today?
Acne is a skin disorder characterized by the outbreak of
lesions called pimples. You can get different kind of these
lesions depending on what type of acne you have; either
whiteheads, blackheads or red, sore type lesions. There are
various acne cleansers on the market today which can
improve this condition and have changed many people's lives.
    * Using just any type of cleanser will not help skins that
are affected by acne. Special cleansers, toners and
moisturizers are designed to help fight this condition
using noncomedogenic or nonacnegenic substances. Benzoyl
Peroxide is the most common and recognized of these
substances used in them. There are others like
erythromycin, which are used in some acne preparations.
    * If simply using acne cleansers does not work for you,
medication is often prescribed, which can be in the form of
tablets, for example: Accutane and Claravis. These are
harsher and can cause differing side effects like excessive
dryness of other area of the skin, and might not work for
those people with scattered occurrences of acne like just
    on the forehead.
Acne tends to flair up in girls often during their
menstrual cycles because of hormonal imbalances, which can
be very difficult to cope with during their teenage years.
It is wise for them to start using the cleansers early on,
even before the breakouts are considered to be serious acne.
Mild cleansers that have ingredients that do not block the
pores and that do not contain alcohol are preferable. Acne
can be aggravated by alcohol which dries out the skin. Your
sebaceous glands then begin to produce excess oil to try
and regulate your sins Ph level, which cause even more
    pimples.
This is the main problem with acne treatments, because they
are aimed at drying out the pimples when in actual fact the
skin needs extra moisture to control the acne. Acne
cleansers work best in conjunction with a three step system
to ensure healthy skin even after the acne has cleared up.
A gel cleanser should be used as the soap ones do have
    drying properties.
After that a toner must be applied that is not too harsh
and that contains some kind of anti acne substance. Natural
extracts like tea tree and other herbal teas can work
wonders. The most important last step is to apply an oil
free, light moisturizer. Try to find brands that are made
specifically for problem skin and it will be a good idea to
get your skin accessed to make sure that the correct
cleansers, toners and moisturizers are used.
Remember that your skin changes all the time so keep
checking your skin's condition for dryness, oily patches,
and dullness. You might have to change your cleansing
system every so often to prevent acne outbreaks and keep
    your skin healthy.

Vitamin B5 For Acne- Powder V's Pills

Vitamin B5 has become well known as the ultimate acne
treatment, as acne sufferers across the globe are experiencing
amazing results. If you are considering Vitamin B5 as an acne
treatment, you’ll be faced with two options; powder or pills.
Powder has the advantage of being more easily absorbed by the
body, meaning the vitamin B5 you take will be that much more
potent. Also, vitamin B5 powder may be easier to take for
people who dislike pills, and it almost always costs less. The
main disadvantage of powder is the taste, however new Vitamin
B5 products entering the market have combated this problem by
adding natural flavoring, which has made it quite delicious.
The other form is vitamin B5 capsules or tablets. The usual
pill size is 500mg, meaning you would have to take 20 pills per
day in order to get 10 grams (the average recommended dose to
stop acne). For best results, pills should be taken at four
intervals per day, since your body can only absorb so much at
once. This solution works, but is certainly an inconvenient one
for people who don't like to frequently take pills. Also, it can
get expensive quickly. Another potential problem is simply the
limitations of standard pills, in that your body can only
absorb a fraction of the contents.
You may have heard that Vitamin B5 is unsafe however that is
completely untrue. Due to the effectiveness of Vitamin B5, skin
care competitors have created false statements to mislead the
consumer, to ensure there own non-vitamin B5 acne treatments
continue to sell. Do not be fooled!
The key to vitamin B5 for acne, is intake frequency! If you use
it once a day, rather than three times a day, I can guarantee
you will not experience the desired results. Please remember
the following: Powder- 3 times daily, Pills- 4 times daily, if
you follow these instructions you can say good bye to your
    acne.

The New Way To Treat Acne

Of the 100 patients in the study, all of them experienced a
near 100% remission of their acne! The relationship between
Vitamin B5 and acne is unquestionable.
Acne is one of the most common skin diseases. It affects
approximately 85% of teenagers, as well as an increasing number
of adults. It occurs predominantly on the face, back, neck,
chest and shoulders, as these areas of the body contain a large
number of sebaceous (skin oil producing) glands. Sebaceous
glands produce and secrete a mixture of oils and waxes known as
sebum, which acts to protect and moisturize the skin and hair
    and make the skin waterproof.
In acne, the body produces too much sebum causing greasy skin
and blocked pores. Bacteria can become trapped in the excess
sebum and multiply, irritating the skin and resulting in the
formation of blackheads, pimples and cysts. SkinB5’s Acne
treatment powder treats acne by helping to control this over
    production of excess skin oil.
This may be due to the essential role of Vitamin B5
(pantothenic acid) in the manufacture of Coenzyme A, a compound
that is vital for the metabolism and utilization of fats in the
body. Vitamin B5 supports the healthy function of the skin
cells and can help to relieve nervous tension and stress,
factors that may exacerbate the acne condition.
Zinc and Vitamin A, two other key ingredients in SkinB5, are
important antioxidant nutrients that support the proper
function of the oil producing sebaceous glands and assist in
controlling the production of sebum. Further, Biotin can
support the growth of healthy hair and strengthen brittle
    nails.
SkinB5 not only treats acne, it can help to improve general
well-being! A drink that clears acne is a totally new concept
    that may actually work.

Blue Light Acne Treatment: 5 Things You Should

Blue light acne treatment has emerged in recent years as yet
another way to combat the embarrassing acne that nearly every
teenager and many adults have to live with. Many people wonder
if this type of treatment is just a gimmick, or if the hype is
true and blue light treatments can promise them a future
without acne. Before you spend the time and money on visiting
a dermatologist, there are a few things you should know about
    this form of treatment.
How Do Blue Light Acne Treatments Work?
The blue light system works by exposing your face, back, or
other affected areas to high intensity blue light (visible
light between 405-420nm). It has been known for a long time
that sunlight can help clear acne breakouts by killing one
source of acne, a type of bacteria called Propionibacterium
acnes (commonly called p. acnes) The p. acnes bacteria live
underneath your skin and feed on the oil in your clogged pores,
which cause the swelling and redness commonly associated with
acne. By killing this bacteria, you unclog your pores and
    allow your skin to heal.
    Are there any Side Effects?
Although any acne treatment can cause drying and slight
inflammation while the affected areas heal, blue light
treatment appears to be virtually free of side effects. This
is because it uses visible light, but unlike sunlight, modern
blue light treatments contain no UV rays that damage your skin.
It is necessary to wear proper eye protection while undergoing
treatment, as the light is very intense and can damage your
eyes if they are unprotected. Blue light treatments may need
to be avoided if you are taking any medications that increase
    photosensitivity (sensitivity to light).
Do Blue Light Treatments Work For Everyone?
Blue light treatment has been shown to be very effective in
treating mild to moderate cases, but it is not 100% effective
for everyone. The majority of test subjects have shown a
drastic decrease in acne over the period of a few weeks. A
small number of people have little or no response to blue light
treatment, and people with the most severe type of acne,
nodules, can actually get worse. Nodules are large swelled
cyst-like acne that are usually painful to the touch and take
considerable time to go away. Although some people get nodules
naturally, you can also get them from popping pimples and zits
improperly, causing the infection to go deeper into the skin.
So try to resist the temptation and give any treatment you try
    a chance to work.
While blue light treatment is not 100% effective for 100% of
the population, it should not be overlooked since it is very
gentle to your skin and helps cure acne infection naturally.
Can Blue Light Be Used with Other Treatment Methods?
Yes, other treatments can help blue light get rid of acne even
faster and more completely. Many specialists follow the blue
light treatment with some exposure to high intensity red light,
which helps your skin heal faster, reducing the visible effects
of acne. Some studies have also been done on the effects of
using a mild acid know as ALA prior to blue light treatment.
ALA makes the skin more sensitive to light, thereby increasing
the effect. Antibiotics can also be used in addition to this
    treatment.
Where can I get Blue Light Acne Treatments?
Dermatologists are using blue light treatment more and more
because of it is gentle and safe. Blue light treatment kits
are also becoming available for home use through the internet.
It appears that you can purchase a kit for $150-$500USD,
although the quality may vary greatly. If you do purchase a
blue light unit for home use, you will want to do your research
to be sure you are getting the real deal since a true blue light
treatment requires high intensity blue light, and not just a
string of blue lights off the Christmas tree.

How A Dermatologist Can Help With Acne Problems
While a mild case of acne isn't necessarily a serious problem,
it's still a good idea to see a dermatologist. They can give
you helpful information about what could be causing your acne
as well as the best treatments.
Plus, there is another skin condition called keratosis pilaris
that is sometimes mistaken for acne and a dermatologist can
tell you if that is what you're dealing with, saving you the
time and hassles of using the wrong treatment.
It's a good idea to prepare for your visit with the
dermatologist by making notes about your acne - as much as
possible. They will ask you about your background - things like
how long you've had acne, how you've treated it and what form it
has taken (lesions, whiteheads, blackheads, etc.) They might
also ask if there is a history of acne problems in your family.
Be sure to tell the doctor if you are allergic to any
medications. Females might be asked about their menstrual cycle
and males might need to tell the doctor how often they shave.
You might be given a choice of treatments so it helps to know a
little about the options before you make your choice.
Antibiotics are one treatment - they're used to kill the
bacteria that leads to acne. They can be taken orally or as a
lotion or ointment that gets applied directly to the skin. In
severe cases, it may be necessary to use both forms.
Topical treatments include things like benzoyl peroxide and
retinoic acid. They usually come in the form of a gel and can
sometimes cause redness and dry skin.
In more severe cases of acne, the dermatologist may recommend a
physical treatment. This could include removal of whiteheads and
blackheads and possibly drainage of cysts.
Whatever type of treatment you end up choosing, it's critical
that you follow the doctor's directions. Take the recommended
dosage - no more or no less. And even if your acne clears up,
you need to continue to take the medication for as long as the
doctor tells you to or the acne may reappear.
Some of the questions you should keep in mind to ask the doctor
    include:
    - What kind of treatment would work best for my acne?
    - How long will it take before I see results?
    - What is the best way to care for my skin?
    - What can I do to prevent scarring?
    - Is it okay for me to use makeup?
    - Does this treatment have any side effects?
    - How long will I need to take this medication?
As acne treatments can go on for some time, make sure you ask
any questions you have each time to see your doctor. Being as
informed as possible will make your treatment much easier to
    deal with.

The Truth About Acne Treatments & Health Insurance
Keywords: acne treatments, acne treatment, acne, acne medicine, acne product, proactiv, proactive, accutane

One of the most common skin problems affecting people around the world is acne, which means that effective acne treatments are constantly in high demand. A problem that many sufferers have to deal with is how to afford the acne products that they need. Every day, people battle this skin problem with the assumption that they could not fit much needed acne treatments into their budget. The truth is, however, that a simple recommendation from a doctor or dermatologist may be the answer.
Depending on the severity of the acne and your individual health insurance policy, prescribed acne treatments may be covered. This means that you may have to pay very little or nothing at all, depending on the policy requirements and coverage. Because every issuer and policy is different, the best way to learn whether or not certain type of acne products are covered under your insurance is to simply review your agreement carefully or call your local agent for specifics.
If prescribed acne treatments are covered under your current health insurance policy, you may be able to have your health insurance billed directly for the prescription or you may have to pay for your own acne treatments and later be reimbursed by your insurance company. In order to get approval, you will need a written doctor's recommendation or prescription. In other words, you would not be able to claim acne treatments on your health insurance policy simply by self-diagnosis and purchasing whatever product appeals most to you.
What type of acne do you have? Most acne is categorized as mild, moderate or severe. A mild case of acne will appear as occasional breakouts, but require little or no treatment. Moderate acne is where the discomfort really becomes noticeable and may require stronger acne products for treatment. Severe acne, which is the worst and most uncomfortable, typically requires some type of medical intervention by way of prescribed acne treatments or certain acne products.
Currently, there are a number of acne products on the market. Some may require a doctor's prescription, but others are often available as over-the-counter acne treatments. In order to be covered under a health insurance policy, however, acne treatments must be recommended by a physician or dermatologist.
It can often be difficult to know which acne products work and which will prove to be the best for your individual situation. If you find yourself wondering how to choose from a sea of acne treatments, it's a good idea to read various product reviews from those who are either familiar with the product or have a detailed description of its potential for treating acne.
When shopping for acne treatments, the best isn't necessarily that which carries the highest price tag. The product that will best treat your skin problem may or may not be the most expensive. The best product will be the one that provides you with the best and quickest results. Because one of the leading causes of acne is stress, knowing whether or not your health insurance will cover the costs associated with acne treatments will ease your mind and possibly your budget.

Exfoliating And Acne: What’s All The Hype About?
Exfoliating creams and peels are one of the latest acne
treatment trends. There are a host of websites and infomercials
that claim that their exfoliating product will end your acne
problems forever, but is there any truth to their claims? Well,
that all depends on the company and what exactly they want you
to put on your face or any other affected area.
Exfoliating your skin is essentially removing dead or excess
skin cells that make up the outermost layer of your skin. While
this outer layer does provide a little protection from UV light
and some chemical irritants, it also prevents over active oil
glands from secreting oil properly, which leads to clogged
pores and potential acne outbreaks. Exfoliating takes away this
outer layer, which does help your pores to breathe, and normally
makes your skin somewhat smoother and softer. Overall,
exfoliating in general does help with acne, but all exfoliating
products are not the same, and care must be taken to ensure that
you are using the right exfoliating product for your needs.
The effectiveness of an exfoliating product, whether it is a
cream or a peel, will be determined by its active ingredients.
Some exfoliating products only remove the dead skin cells, but
others will do several other things to help your skin and
better treat your acne problem. Certain exfoliating products
will also contain some kind of antibacterial ingredient. An
exfoliating product with an antibacterial component will
improve your complexion by removing dead skin cells and killing
the bacteria that are causing the acne. Another exfoliating
component that many users love is an anti inflammatory
ingredient. An anti inflammatory will reduce the redness and
swelling associated with acne and help make your existing acne
much less obvious while it works to eliminate acne.
However, there are some things you want to watch out for when
selecting an exfoliating treatment. Certain chemicals and
exfoliating creams work are designed to combat acne on certain
parts of your body. There are many effective treatments for
facial acne, but most facial treatments do not have much sway
on acne on other parts of the body, especially the back. The
skin on your back is much thicker than on your face, so harsher
chemicals are needed to clear back acne, and those chemicals
used on your back are very likely to irritate your face and
cause a rash or the appearance of sunburn. Salicylic acid is
one such ingredient that is generally not recommended for use
    on your face.
One natural exfoliating product that has been used for several
centuries is sulfur. In addition to removing excess skin cells,
sulfur also helps your skin to heal so that pimples disappear
more quickly. Sulfur can be found in over the counter acne
medications, and some of them combine an anti inflammatory for
even faster results. Azelaic acid is another commonly used
exfoliating agent. Azelaic acid comes either as a peel or a 20%
lotion, and works very well for most people.
One advantage of using sulfur or Azelaic acid as an exfoliating
treatment is that they have relatively few side effects for an
acne treatment. Sulfur and Azelaic acid are not likely to
irritate your skin, or lighten or darken your skin. However,
with any acne treatment there is a possibility of overuse, in
which case your skin gets dried out. In any case, you should be
very careful about using different acne treatments
simultaneously, especially with sulfur. The drying effects of
various treatments, in addition to the risk that comes with
combining chemicals on your face, can be disastrous.
Before you run out and buy any kind of exfoliating cream or
peel, take a few minutes to find out the ingredients and find
out how they work. Using an exfoliating product could interfere
or react with your current acne treatment, or dry your face out
entirely. Also, many people report that they are much happier
with exfoliating products that not only exfolia

Home Acne Treatment - More Common Sense Than

There are numerous acne treatment options available today
because so many people suffer from acne. Of course, these
products attempt to help acne sufferers clear up their skin
    without breaking the bank.
Other acne treatment options include surgical acne treatments.
These options may work for some but because the cost on these
types of procedures are often cost prohibited to many, it's
really not a viable option. Surgical options can cost as much
as a year's worth of home treatments and the still have no
    guarantee of long term help.
An alternative to the mainstream treatment options that is
becoming increasingly more common and one that takes a more
natural option is to treat their acne problems at home.
Unfortunately, a common myth about home acne treatment that is
designed to discourage people from doing it is that it's not as
effective as the more traditional treatment options. However,
truth be told, is that acne treatment products, any acne
treatment product or option will only work if you have the
    dedication to make it work.
The bottom line is that home acne treatment is not all that
uncommon. It's really what most people do on a daily basis and
those committed to what it takes are normally rewarded with
clear, glowing, attractive skin. Home acne treatment is all
    about taking charge.
You simply need to develop a workable, repeatable routine based
on the products you have and if you are persistent, then your
reward will be a clearer skin. It's all about adopting the
right kind of approach and commitment towards treating your
acne treatment. Clearly, you must put in the work in order for
home acne treatment to be a success.
Consistently doing everyday things, such as washing, cleansing
and maintaining your skin is part of the responsibility of
having home acne treatment and one of the most important
aspects of successfully treating any acne problem is your diet.
Eating more natural, healthy foods and avoiding "junk" food is
one of the keys to success. You must cleanse your system of the
impurities and another big aspect of cleansing is to avoid soda
and drink plenty of water so your body can cleanse itself.
The way to go for long term results is not by applying some
ointment to your skin or cleansing it with some so-called
"specially" formulated ointment. It's to attack acne from the
inside out. Cleanse your system and your complexion will
    follow.
In summary, change your lifestyle; how you eat and get some
exercise and not only will get the clear skin you want so badly
but you will have it for the rest of your life.

Thinking About Acne Skin Care And Your Product

Acne skin care product choices are probably not the most
enjoyable of topics to discuss. You may feel ashamed or
embarrassed by acne or perhaps as though you’re all alone in
your struggles for clear skin. But this is not the case.
According to the Royal College of General Practitioners, about
15% of all new cases in general care settings are the result of
skin issues, including acne. With this in mind, you can see that
you’re not alone. What’s more is that you have choices that you
can make and products that you can use to help solve your acne
    issues.
    On your own time
When you’re first attempting acne skin care, you will want to
try looking at how you’re taking care of your skin in the first
place. Here are some simple things to keep in mind:
    • Cleansing the skin is of the utmost importance – Skin that’s
dirty will not respond to any acne skin care product that you
use, but more often than not, the dirt and oils that accumulate
might be causing the acne in the first place. Be sure to cleanse
your skin in the morning and at night with warm, not hot, water
and a mild cleanser. This will remove any dirt or oil that has
accumulated, letting the pores be free of acne-causing
irritants. In addition, if you exercise or do any strenuous
work, breaking a sweat in the process, you will want to cleanse
    your face after these activities.
    • Follow your cleanser with a toner or astringent – When you
take the time to apply something like witch hazel, you will
allow the pores to naturally close and block out any
acne-causing irritants. This step in acne skin care is often
overlooked, but it can be crucial to lessening the appearance
of pores as well as acne. Swipe the skin only once to be sure
that you’re not stripping away too much of the skin’s natural
    oils.
    • Moisture is for everyone – Following your toning step with a
moisturising acne skin care product will allow the skin to
restore its balance. If this step is overlooked, the skin can
begin to feel stripped of its natural oils and then produce
more than is necessary, resulting in more acne than before. Try
to use a water-based moisturiser when you have particularly oily
    skin.
If you take these acne skin care steps, but do not see any
improvement in a few weeks of regular use, then you might need
to consider a stronger skin care product according to general
    practitioners.
    On the store shelves
The basic consideration in acne skin care is the removal and
the drying up of the oils that are causing the pores to become
inflamed. To do this, you will want to choose a skin care
product that targets the oil production in the skin. These
    ingredients might include:
    • Benzoyl peroxide
    • Salicylic acid
    • Triclosan
Each of these product ingredients are proven to help clear up
acne and assist in problems that aren’t related to acne care
habits. Acne problems are also not limited to teenagers and
those in their pre-teen years either. Adults comprise up to 25%
of all new acne cases in the UK, as well as in other
    international countries.
Many of these acne product choices can be found at local shops
and online retailers, but they need to be used exactly as
directed. And since many acne sufferers already have sensitive
skin that’s easily irritated, you will want to apply these
products sparingly to see how your skin reacts. You may want to
apply these products before bedtime and after your nightly acne
skin care routine or every other day until you find that your
    skin isn’t reacting negatively.
    In your general practitioner’s office
According to the Royal College of General Practitioners, about
20% of all referrals are the result of acne problems and other
related skin disorders. So, if your current skin care routine
isn’t working, you still aren’t alone. By heading to an acne
specialist, you will be able to get more concentrated acne
product medications that can work from the inside or as a
    topical oint

    Acne Specialist

Former acne sufferers teamed up with medical doctors to develop
a website dedicated to finding the most effective acne
    treatments on the market.
Over two years hundreds of acne treatments were tested and
we’ve concluded that Vitamin B5 is by far the BEST acne
    treatment on earth.
Acne Specialist will explain in detail the Vitamin B5 acne
    treatment.
-How does Vitamin B5 STOP acne?
    -The BEST Vitamin B5 brand
    -Vitamin B5 myths
    -Correct daily dosage
-What acne treatment DO NOT work?
    -Possible Vitamin B5 side effects.
    -Vitamin B5 medical research
How does Vitamin B5 STOP acne?
The main acne causing factor is oily skin! Vitamin B5 regulates
your oil producing glands to a normal level, similar to acutane
    without the severe side effects.
The reason too much oil is being released has to do with the
lipids and fatty acid deposits underneath the skin not getting
broken down and re-circulated into the bloodstream. Instead
they are being released as sebum (oil). What enables our body
to break down these fatty acids is directly related to an
enzyme called coenzyme A, which is an essential enzyme to the
body and is used for fatty acid metabolism.
When there is enough Vitamin B5 available in the diet, the
deficiency in coenzyme A is eliminated. As a result, a person's
fatty acids get broken down and the skin doesn't over release
oil. Without the over releasing of oil, acne does not occur.
    The BEST Vitamin B5 brand
The market is flooded with vitamin B5 products and over a two
year period Acne Specialist tested the most popular brands
(Solgar, SkinB5, Vilantae, Clear5, Swiss, B5 Clear Skin and
    Twin Lab) in four areas:
Each brand has been rated out of ten, with one being the worst
    and ten being the best.
The results were quite surprising with SkinB5
    http://skinb5.com taking the honours:
Effectiveness: SkinB5 comes in powder form, which is a key
advantage as powder is better absorbed by the body which equals
better results. SkinB5 powder is flavoured and tastes rather
    nice when mixed with juice.
SkinB5’s added combination of Vitamin A, Biotin and Zinc
    enhances the overall benefits substantially.
Ease to use: Only three dosages a day is needed, where’s other
vitamin b5 products require four dosages.
Cost: At $39.95aud, when converted into US dollars it’s
    approximately $27-29
Side effects: All Vitamin B5 treatments will have similar side
effects. For the first 1-2 months you may experience mild
diarrhoea. Your body will adjust to the vitamin b5 intake
levels and everything will return to normal.
    Vitamin B5 myths
First of all, Vitamin B5 is NOT dangerous. Even though high
dosages are required to effectively treat acne, Vitamin B5 is
water soluble, meaning any excess is lost through urination and
    not retained by your body
Websites that state Vitamin B5 is dangerous, falsely make these
claims to ensure the survival of there own non vitamin B5 acne
products. Vitamin B5 is the world’s strongest acne treatment
with little or no side effects.
    Correct daily dosage
To effectively treat acne using Vitamin B5, 10grms a day is
needed. Vitamin B5 comes in two forms, powder and tablets.
For the first 2 days take 5 grms, then increase to 10 grms a
day until your acne is clear then gradually lower dose to a
maintenance level. Everyone’s body reacts differently to
Vitamin b5 so your acne might clear in 4 weeks or it may take
up to 6 months. Once clear find a maintenance dose that suits
    your skin.
Vitamin B5 powder- 1 teaspoon 3 times daily:
    1 glass = morning, 1 glass = lunch, 1 glass = dinner (Total 3
    dosages a day)
Vitamin B5 tablets- 5 tablets, 4 times daily:
    5 tablets = morning, 5 tablets = lunch, 5 tablets = after noon,
5 tablets at night (Total 4 dosages a day)
What acne treatments DO NOT work?
Topical treatments (creams, cleansers etc) treat acne after the
    problem has occurred. Do NO

    Acne Scars In Adults

The medical industry is awakening to the fact that looking good
is not about self esteem or self image. Today, acne scars can
limit every aspect of life from social acceptability to
professional success in your job. Many of today’s new acne
treatments correct damage by taking advantage of the skin’s
regenerative properties, healing by using the epidermis’s
ability to renew, grow, and stretch.
In the past acne scars were a pre-adult concern. Now, making
use of information learned from the cosmetic industry,
dermatologists are learning to use the skin’s ability to remain
supple and wrinkle free. The same discoveries that enable adults
to remain wrinkle free into their forties is used to prevent
    acnes and reduce scars.
Cosmetics and healthy living enable skin to remained healthy
into the forties, it also remains susceptible to acne and acne
scars. Now adults suffer from acne into their forties when
aging skin looses its elasticity and regenerative powers,
increasing the risk of acne scars.
To combat acne and scaring adults must understand acne and its
    causes.
Acne starts with one lesion: the comedo. This is an enlarged
hair follicle plugged with oil, dead skin cells and bacteria.
The original pimple is invisible to the eye. The Comedones
remains beneath the skin’s surface until the right conditions
enable it to grow into the second level: an inflamed lesion.
As the skin produces more oil, bacteria growth accelerates. The
surrounding skin becomes inflamed as the white blood cells fight
    against the infection.
The most important thing to understand is that there is no cure
for acne. The best defense is a good preventative program,
especially if acne has caused scares in the past, or in adults
    over twenty five years old.
Adults must also understand how their daily cleansing rituals
and eating habits can aggravate acne. The most damaging
product is facial soap. Most soap products contain ingredients
that agitate the skin, perfumes that block pores, and abrasives
that promote instead of prevent acne scars.
If acne scars exist, do not loose hope. There are several
successful treatments. Each one deals with a specific type of
    acne scar.
There are three types of acne scars:
1.Ice-pick scars average 1-2 mm in diameter.
2.Rolling scars are caused by abnormal fibrous bands that
distort the surface of the skin.
3.Boxcar scars measure appears similar to post chicken pox
    scars.
The type of acne scar defines the treatment. Any reputable
program starts by preventing the formation of new pimples. A
good program will work to improve photodamage in the skin,
improving the skin’s ability to prevent scars.
Many new plastic surgery techniques battle acne scars. One
notable technique is called Collagen Induction Therapy. This
technique promises to help people even when other measures
    fail.

Adult Acne - A Return to the Skin's "Youthful" Ap

Pimples. Zits. Acne. Rosacea. Whatever term you use, getting acne as an adult is no more fun than it was as a teenager. Although acne is a condition generally associated with young skin, it is not one of the youthful characteristics that is sought after. Adult acne can actually come in two different forms. These include the occasional breakout of pimples during times of stress as well as a progressive skin condition known as Rosacea.
Teenage acne and adult acne have many similarities. Like the acne suffered by teenagers, adult acne is also brought about by certain triggers. These triggers can include an unhealthy diet, stress, hormones and even some prescription medications. Adult acne is also treated in much the same way as teenage acne. Over-the-counter medications containing benzoyl peroxide can be used to help clear mild to moderate acne. For more severe cases, prescription antibiotic creams or oral antibiotics may be prescribed to help inhibit the growth of the bacteria that causes acne.
Unlike teenage acne, which goes away in time, adults can suffer from a progressive form of acne. This form of adult acne is a skin condition called Rosacea. Like acne, Rosacea is accompanied by red bumps that resemble pimples. Unlike the typical teenage acne, however, the condition often progresses in periods of flare ups and remissions. As the skin condition progresses, it often becomes worse.
Like a teen's acne, it is uncertain exactly what causes adult acne, or Rosacea. It is suspected the condition begins when blood vessels in the face become damaged by being repeatedly dilated by various stimuli in the environment. Most people who are affected by Rosacea are fair skinned. They also have a history of flushing or blushing easily, which means the blood vessels in their faces become dilated more often than those who don't flush or blush often. The first sign a person may be suffering from Rosacea is a continued redness of the skin. Often the condition is accompanied by itching and burning. Sometimes blood vessels can be permanently visible on the skin's surface.
Rosacea, or adult acne, requires a trip to your doctor for treatment. While there is no cure for Rosacea, the condition can be controlled with proper treatment. Some ways to help the condition improve include keeping a diary of what triggers your Rosacea, then avoiding these triggers. Oral antibiotics or antibiotic creams can also be prescribed by your dermatologist. Laser treatments are also gaining popularity in helping to control Rosacea. Lasers can also be used to remove visible blood vessels.
If you think you left acne behind in your teenage years, you might be sadly disappointed to wake one morning and find pimples have struck again in your middle years. Along with the occasional breakout of pimples, however, adult acne can also come in the form of a more serious condition known as Rosacea. This condition often worsens the longer you have it and requires a doctor's prescription to control the disorder.

    Acne, Alternative Medicine, Medicine
Article Title: Making Acne Treatments Work For You
You can do it -- look better, feel better, and raise your self-esteem 150% by getting rid of your acne for good. There are times when one has to think about alternative, natural, effective treatment methods to get the best cure or solution to their acne, zits, pimples and blackhead problems. As a registered nurse, I've learned a lot over the years about acne, acne scars, and acne treatments.
Nearly 80 percent of people from ages 11 to 30 years have acne, most often on the face, chest and back. In a survey conducted in Great Britain, 95% of 16-year-old males and 83% of 16 year-old females had acne. The most common types of pimples are whiteheads, blackheads, papules, pustules, nodules and cysts. Most pimples are found on the face, neck, back, chest, and shoulders. The most common type of acne is acne vulgaris.
Understanding that hormones may have some influence on the cause of acne needs to be considered. The cause of acne is really unknown. Doctors think certain factors might cause or contribute to acne including hormone increases in teenage years, hormone changes in pregnancy, starting or stopping birth control pills, heredity, medicines and greasy make-up.
The liver sluffs off toxins from bad foods, drinks, drugs and chemicals and sends them through your skin resulting in skin eruptions, acne, pimples and other skin disorders.
One treatment method some people have used is applying cornstarch, egg whites or milk of magnesia as a facial mask. Coconut is one of the best treatments I've found for acne. One good natural method is to apply a thin layer of coconut oil and massage it deep into the skin to heal and soothe it. The treatment plan for acne includes trying to heal the pimples, stopping new pimples from forming, preventing scarring and helping reduce embarrassment.
Treatment with raw apple cider vinegar will work better on your skin if it isn't already noticeably irritated from acne medicines, acne products or other failed treatment. Drinking pure, filtered water may be the best acne treatment working from the inside out. It just takes motivation, a willingness to try it, and diligent application of coconut oil several times a day and at bedtime to see its benefits.
The good news is that there are several types of treatments to choose from for acne scar removal. See your skin doctor, dermatologist or dermatological surgeon for the best acne scar treatment for you. As a registered nurse, I have learned a lot over the years about acne scars, acne scar treatments, and acne scar removal.
The liver sluffs off toxins from bad foods, drinks, drugs and chemicals and sends them through your skin resulting in skin eruptions, acne, pimples and other skin disorders. Some alternative doctors recommend eating raw cloves of garlic daily for acne. Essential fatty acids are particularly important to people with inflammatory conditions such as eczema and acne. Besides external acne treatment it's best to work from the inside out too.
Use flaxseed oil or walnut oil in your salad. Good skin is often a reflection of a good digestive system. Eat foods that contain essential fatty acids.
The skin must be regularly cleaned or it'll become cracked or inflamed. Functions of the skin are disturbed when it is dirty; it becomes more easily damaged, the release of antibacterial compounds decreases and dirty skin is more prone to develop infections.
And whatever you do stop purchasing hundreds of dollars in skin care acne treatment solutions. Analyze all the acne treatments available and make the best decision for you, based on your circumstances. In any case, try not to panic about your acne and take it day by day.

Accutane Acne Treatment - What Your Need To Know

Accutane is a medication that is prescribed by a physician for
serious types of acne. Accutane is extremely effective at
fighting serious forms of acne, because it targets the main
causes of acne; that being sebum production pores becoming
clogged with sebum and killing the P. acnes bacteria that
    infects the skin causing pimples.
Accutane is the trade name for the drug name Isotretinoin.
There are many different names used for this medicine, however
Accutane is most popular name used in the USA for this
medication. Since Accutane is a commercial product, you can
also use the generic form of Isotretinoin called Claravis.
Accutane treatment usually lasts from two to six months and
usually includes a treatment of .50 to 200 mg per day. Usually
an Accutane treatment can cost $150 to over $200 per month. The
more mg. per day of Accutane usually the higher the cost. It
should be noted that most health insurance companies do not
reimburse or pay for Accutane. It most cases health insurance
companies consider Accutane a cosmetic medication, however if
you require Accutane to fight cysts or nodules, many health
insurance companies will cover you due to the fact they don’t
consider this use to be cosmetic in practice.
Because there are many side effects associated with Accutane,
in order to receive a prescription, you will need to sign up
with the FDA program called iPledge. iPledge was mainly
started to prevent pregnant women on Accutane from having
children with birth defects. Besides signing up for iPledge,
females that would like to receive an Accutane prescription
must take two pregnancy exams, both showing negative and
continue to take a pregnancy exam each month while taking the
medication. In addition, women who are sexually active must
either abstain from sex or use two forms of birth control.
While there are serious side effects, for those that suffer
from serious forms of acne, Accutane (Isotretinoin) is one of
the only practical ways to rid the face of acne breakouts.

How Exercising Help You Fight Acne?

Are you haunted with the fear of acne scars all over your face?
You have left no stone unturned in getting a treatment done for
those ugly looking acne patches? Do not worry. We have come to
    take all your worries away.
With a burgeoning technology, there have come a number of
treatments by which you can prevent and also treat your acne
and related problems. Innovative treatments in the form of
prescription as well as home-made and natural therapies have
come up to cure acne. Besides this, there is a plethora of
other preventive measures that boast of clearing your acne.
As a result, people are all the more particular in choosing a
treatment for themselves. The type of treatment that has lately
gained importance within a large chunk of people is exercising.
The best part about it is that, it not only works in the
direction of curing your acne problems but it also benefits you
in other diseases or disorders that you might be suffering from.
The main propaganda that an exercising regime carries with
itself is to keep you in shape and thus reduce acne. You must
be wondering what relation our keeping in shape has with the
reduction in acne problems. The answer to this is very simple.
Exercising helps in reducing the negative energy and the toxins
in your body in the form of stress, tension and anxiety. A
healthy body is the only way to a beautiful skin.
But not all types of exercises help in giving relief from acne.
Therefore, before choosing any particular exercising regime, it
is important to first understand the crux of the treatment.
Because if you become negligent, your acne condition may
aggravate further. So, the rule of the law says that you should
practice all indoor exercising, which produces moderate amount
    of sweat.
Besides this, the other important thing that you need to keep
in mind is that the products that you intend to use on your
acne afflicted skin should be mild with low levels of chemical
substances. This is because, when you exercise, the sweat
produced will combine with the chemical agents present in your
cosmetics, leading to a more outburst of acne. Therefore, the
problem can be solved by using oil-free cosmetic products. Such
products even help you to prevent the clogged pores, which are
one of the main reasons for acne outbursts.
When you finish with your exercising, take care to washing your
face immediately. This prevents in clogging facial pores due to
    sweat and cosmetics.
Besides, the type of cosmetics that you use, the types of
clothes you wear also hold importance. Avoid wearing clothes
made of synthetic fibers like nylon and lycra. The reason
being, these fibers prevent sweat from evaporating, while you
are exercising. And leaves open grounds for the growth and
multiplication of bacteria. Therefore, cotton remains the best
option at this time, as it is porous in nature. And when you
complete your exercising, do not forget to change into fresh
    dry clothes.
So all you need to do is to follow these simple steps and your
acne problem will be solved forever.

Stop Your Acne Now - You Can Do it

Living with acne can be very difficult, and even more difficult to find the right acne treatment for you. You can do it -- look better, feel better, and raise your self-esteem 150% by getting rid of your acne for good. By their mid-teens, nearly 35% of teenagers have acne severe enough to require some treatment from a medical professional.
Acne is the most common skin disease. Acne rosacea is a red rash predominantly on the face. The most common types of pimples are whiteheads, blackheads, papules, pustules, nodules and cysts. For most people, acne goes away by age 30, but people in their forties and fifties still get acne. Numerous studies have revealed that acne is not simply a problem of the young: it also afflicts people of many ages, and it affects daily life.
Check your shampoo to make sure it isn't causing pimples or other breakouts on your forehead. Doctors think certain factors might cause or contribute to acne including hormone increases in teenage years, hormone changes in pregnancy, starting or stopping birth control pills, heredity, medicines and greasy make-up.
Acne, zits, pimples, blackheads, whiteheads and many other skin disorders are usually, but not always, the result of a bad diet. It's not true that dirty skin and stress cause acne.
Stay out of the sun if you're taking any acne medicines. It's always best to seek non-invasive treatment for any skin condition. A new treatment using red light and blue light has been extremely successful on severe acne. One good natural method is to apply a thin layer of coconut oil and massage it deep into the skin to heal and soothe it. Coconut oil is one of the best treatments I've found for acne.
You want to be good to your skin and never pop or squeeze a pimple no matter how tempting. Try not to touch your skin to eliminate possible contamination.
Acne is not a serious health threat but, it can cause scars. Acne scars can give the skin an aging look. The good news is that there are several types of treatments to choose from for acne scar removal.
Whether you eat a natural diet with living fruits and vegetables or eat dead junk food, what you eat may have a direct or indirect affect on the male hormones which may play a part in acne. Some alternative doctors recommend eating raw cloves of garlic daily for acne.
In any case, no matter what skin or acne treatment you choose, whether it is chemical, drugs, alternative, or natural methods, changing your diet will result in your overall good health! Essential fatty acids are particularly important to people with inflammatory conditions such as eczema and acne.
Drink freshly juiced carrot juice every day. Drink plenty of water, a minimum of a quart a day. For an easy fiber boost, mix in 2 tablespoons of ground up flaxseeds in raw applesauce, from 2-3 apples, made in your food processor.
Many skin conditions can be converted into healthy skin using natural home remedies. The skin is subject to constant attack from without, so can be affected by numerous conditions, diseases and ailments.
In any case, try not to panic about your acne and take it day by day. Pick two or three home remedies or natural treatments and try them out on your skin carefully. When it comes to acne, acne prevention is always a better choice than searching for a cure.

    Acne Remedies That Work

Whether you're a teenager with so-called spotty skin, or an adult with facial blemishes, acne can strike at any age. Although there are many kinds of treatment available both in shops and over the counters at pharmacies, many people are unaware that there is also a multitude of home remedies that can be used to combat acne. From herbal to homeopathic, and even everyday vitamins, the choice is bigger than you think.
One of the easiest, and also one of the safest, forms of remedies is via vitamins. Depending on availability, you can use either vitamin A or E, or a more specialized form, such as niacin. If you are using this type of acne remedy, check with your pharmacist or doctor with regard to the safe dosage. Another vitamin that can be used is vitamin C, with a water-soaked citrus peel being placed onto the required area proving quite effective.
One of the most often ignored, yet successful, types of acne remedy is normal household garlic. By taking fresh cloves and rubbing them over your skin as you would a facial cloth or sponge, it's an excellent substitute for actual acne cream or ointment, and people who have tried this method have seen their skin clear up in a reasonably short time. Eating garlic is another good tool in battling acne, as it helps to keep your blood stream clean, thus avoiding any dirty pores.
Aloe vera is also easy to come by in the home, and is one of the more soothing methods you can use. Since it is a soothing derivative usually found in after shave balm or cleanser, it shouldn't give you any inflammatory reaction, either. By rubbing it into your face in the morning and before you go to bed, it will offer improved skin complexion as well as help to reduce the effects of the acne itself. Even better, if you have an actual aloe vera plant, the leaf can be rubbed on the face for good results, too.
Although many sufferers are advised not to expose their skin to excessive heat, a home sun bed can actually help benefit an acne complaint. As long as it's used in moderation and under professional instruction, it works by drying the skin and therefore killing the bacteria that causes acne in the first place. Another remedy with heat being used as a source of relief is a hot bath filled with normal Epsom salts, which you can buy from any good drugstore or supermarket.
Although specialized creams and ointments are usually the best methods to dealing with this frustrating affliction, you shouldn't discount home remedies if you're an acne sufferer. Not only are they cheaper, they can sometimes yield quicker results, and to anyone who's had acne, that's the only thing that really matters at the end of the day.

Which Adult Acne Treatment Can Make Blemishes Disa

Contrary to popular belief, acne isn't just restricted to teenagers. And in the same way that this skin ailment can cause untold distress and embarrassment in teens of both sexes, so can it have the same effect on those who suffer from it in later life.
With figures showing that as much as a quarter of adult males will suffer from acne at some stage, and double that amount of adult women, the market for adult acne treatment has never been more popular.
Since acne can affect people well into middle age and beyond, defining what causes it in the first place is one of the best ways to know how to combat adult acne. Treatment can vary, from the simplest yet effective remedies to minor surgical procedures in the very severe cases.
One of the causes of adult acne has been found to be hormonal deficiencies. Therefore, speak to your doctor first, as they can arrange hormonal treatment for your acne if this is the case.
If it's less serious acne that ointments and creams can treat, one of the best and most effective options available is benzoyl peroxide. This is a simple ointment that you can buy over the counter at your local pharmacists, and is just as effective a treatment for adult acne as it is for teenagers.
Salicylic acid is another relatively simple treatment that can be bought at any drugstore.
Should the problem require a more intense solution, however, there are a variety of prescription treatments available, too. Once again, check with your doctor on which ones would be more beneficial for you, depending on your skin type, or if you suffer from any allergies, etc.
Some of the more common treatments prescribed for adult acne is adapalene, tretinoin and azelaic acid. These are put onto the skin itself. Oral versions include sulfur, clindamycin and isotretinoin. However, you should beware of any side effects, such as dizziness or stomach complaints. If unsure, consult your doctor.
There is another prescription method available, accutane, but this is seen as a last resort for any sufferer. An intensive course of treatment that can last anywhere up to six months depending on the sufferer themselves, it has proven to be very effective in the fight against adult acne.
However, it has been linked to some serious side effects; liver damage and depression are just two of the potential hazards that users may experience. Even more damaging is the potential for birth defects in pregnant women. Therefore, it's not a treatment to be taken lightly.
If pharmaceutical drugs and treatments fail to solve the problem, there is always the option of a surgical procedure for the more seriously afflicted.
Should your doctor or specialist feel your acne warrants it, you may be sent for laser treatment, which, though often painful, can remove the problem more efficiently.
Although acne can be an embarrassing and often annoying affliction, with the various treatments available, it needn't be a permanent one.

    Perfectly Natural Acne Treatments

Below are some helpful tips on what to do to keep your acne under control and keep your skin clear. Natural treatment methods are cheaper and always a better choice for acne due to less exposure to drugs and chemical-laden acne products. While most forms of acne are merely troublesome or embarrassing, there are some forms of acne that can lead to scarring and pitting of the skin.
In a survey conducted in Great Britain, 95% of 16-year-old males and 83% of 16 year-old females had acne. There are several different types of acne. Nearly 17 million people in the United States have acne. Acne will affect almost every person at some stage of their life.
As time goes by, more research may help determine just how male and female hormones influence acne and the role diet plays. Doctors think certain factors might cause or contribute to acne including hormone increases in teenage years, hormone changes in pregnancy, starting or stopping birth control pills, heredity, medicines and greasy make-up. New studies show that during times of high emotional stress, such as during exam time in high school, there are more acne breakouts; so are stress hormones the culprits?
There are many natural acne home remedies; you may have to try several to find one that works best for your skin type. Besides acne, if you also have eczema, damaged or dry skin, coconut oil will treat these skin conditions too. Try applying a thin layer of coconut oil and massaging it deep into the skin to heal and soothe the affected area.
A new, non-invasive treatment using red light and blue light in combination has been extremely successful on severe acne. Use baking soda on a test area carefully for exfoliation, if you feel you need it. When you wash your face use a soft touch, taking care not to rub or scrub your skin.
Shave carefully and try both electric and safety razors to see which works best for you. One treatment method some people have used is applying cornstarch, egg whites or milk of magnesia as a facial mask. Any makeup you use should list on the label non-acnegenic or non-comedogenic.
Popping pimples can cause infection and scarring; best not to do it. Use only products that have natural ingredients or try to use fewer products to allow your skin to heal naturally. No over-the-counter creams can help your acne from the inside out; they can only kill some of the bacteria on your face and help reduce the redness.
It's easy to treat acne cheaply, simply, naturally, yet effectively, at home. Some natural home remedies include dabbing on non-gel toothpaste or lemon juice to dry out zits.
When you change your diet, your lesions should start getting better within a week or two, with significant improvement the first month. Drink lots and lots of pure, filtered water every day. In any case, no matter what skin or acne treatment you choose, whether it's chemical, drugs, alternative, or natural methods, changing your diet alone will be the best treatment you can do for your acne and you'll achieve overall good health in the process.
People with skin disorders such as acne, rosacea, and psoriasis often suffer from constipation; if you are, make sure you're drinking lots of water every day and add more natural fiber from raw fruits to your diet. Besides external acne treatment it's even more important to work from the inside out too.
Consider taking cod liver oil or fish oil supplements every day. Good nutrition will help your skin from the inside out. You want to keep your digestive tract healthy. For an easy fiber boost, mix in two tablespoons of ground up flaxseeds into raw applesauce, from two to three apples, made in your food processor. Good clear skin is often a reflection of a good digestive system. The two most common digestive concerns that affect your skin are not enough water and not enough fiber.
Analyze all the acne treatments available and make the best decision for you, based on your circumstances. Be assured, scientists are constantly looking at new non-invasive ways to treat acne. Pick two or three cheap h

What Is Body Acne And What Can Be Done?

Body acne can plague the skin of all parts of the body. The
skin is the largest organ on the body and contains many layers
with the most common layer being the epidermis. This layer
covers the whole body and is made up of hairs, oil glands,
nerves and nerve endings, sweat glands, blood vessels, cells,
and sensory cells. The environment plays a huge part in causing
a film to be placed upon the body everyday. Germs and dirt
attach onto the skin in everyday life, which makes cleaning the
    skin essential.
Body acne can appear anywhere on the body. The most frequent
place for most acne is on the face, followed by other parts of
the body. The chest, shoulders, back and even buttocks can
become the affected areas on the body. Many cases of body acne
are caused by external objects, for example a purse strap,
which may cause friction and result in acne-prone areas. The
dirt that may be on the strap can transfer onto the skin, thus
providing the bacteria and consequentially causing acne. Sports
equipment can be a contributing factor, as the bacteria that has
remained on the equipment can transfer to skin and cause
inflamed areas. Many dermatologists suggest wearing clothing
that will wick away the moisture and keep skin area protected
from any underlying microorganisms. The buttocks can become
crucial areas for body acne to appear, as there is an
inevitable factor of friction of clothing always providing an
irritant. Taking care of any affected area will help to lessen
    the problem of acne.
Suggestions for combating body acne include taking vitamins to
boost nutrients in the body and to provide healthy tissue
growth and prevent continuous outbreaks. Bathing regularly and
using a topical ointment can provide a relief from problem
areas. If acne becomes a larger problem, consulting a
dermatologist can provide solutions to combat body acne. Sun
exposure, while previously considered a treatment, is no longer
recommended. While the skin does become darker eliminating the
red marks, more skin damage can occur unless proper precautions
are taken. Consistent sunbathing will dry the skin and will
result in more production of oil. Old sun-exposed cells will
slough off more frequently, mixing with skin oils, and will
result in a greater chance of blocked pores.
Getting enough quality sleep and loading up on beneficial food
and lots of water can ensure the best possible environment for
the healthiest skin. Body acne can also be treated with
hormonal medications and prescriptions from a dermatologist.
Avoiding tight-fitting clothing and using an exfoliant like a
loofah sponge in the bath or shower can help keep dead cells
off the skin's surface and away from follicles and pores. Body
acne can cause problems, but following just a few simple
indications can help combat a controllable situation.

    Trioxil any one :-
i came accross this on target, pretty expensive stuff. I think i wanna try it.
    http://www.target.com/DS-Laboratories-Trio...acne&page=1
Trioxil® (bisazulene gel) 14% is a totally new innovation in acne treatment.
Trioxil® (bisazulene gel) 14% is a new powerful anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory compound that is at the same time soothing and calming on the skin – a moisturizer is not needed.
Stronger anti-bacterial activity against P. Acnes then Benzoyl Peroxide.
Most people see a significant improvement in acne and over-all condition of the skin in just 2 weeks of use.
Encapsulated in nanonsomes – tiny microspheres penetrate into the deepest layers of the skin to release the active ingredients over a 12 hour period.
Bisazulene is a new compound that is unlike anything else you have tried before.
Trioxil® (bisazulene gel) 14% is a modified form of naturally occurring compound found in chamomile flowers and encapsulated in nanosomes. The pharmacological activity of this compound has been shown in clinical studies to be antibacterial, antimicrobial, fungicidal and at the same time anti-inflammatory. If you have tried other acne medications containing benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, and tretinoin that did not work for you then Trioxil® may be a solution for your acne – it is a totally new innovation and a remarkable breakthrough in acne treatment.
While other acne medications containing bezoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, or tretinoin have strong antimicrobial activity on Propionibacterium Acnes, these medications cause severe over-drying and irritation of the skin. This causes the body to respond by producing even more oil to combat dryness thereby starting a vicious never ending cycle. Trioxil® is the only acne medication that has antimicrobial activity against Propionibacterium Acnes bacteria while at the same time deeply calming and soothing the skin. In fact, the bisazulene compound (a very strong antimicrobial and antibacterial) is actually derived from chamomile flowers which have soothing and calming properties. Thus Trioxil® treats both of the underlying causes - the bacteria involved in acne pathogenesis and the inflammatory response of acne.
    Net Weight: 20 g
    Other ingredients:
Extracts of Ginseng, Hamamelis, Wheat-germ Nanosomes, Barley-germ Nanosomes, Arnica Nanosomes, deionised water, yeast and horse chestnut, D-Panthenol, Alpha Bisabolol, Tea Tree Oil, Isopropyl Myristate, Polysorbate 80, Triethananolamine, Carbomer, and Methyl Paraben.
    Get ready for perfect skin:
Trioxil® (bisazulene gel) 14% is indicated for mild to moderate facial acne vulgaris and requires just one application per day. You should apply a thin layer (more is not better) over the entire facial area after washing gently with a high quality cleanser.
Apply one pea-sized dose to cover your entire face, avoiding the more sensitive areas around your eyes, nose and corners of the mouth. Don't spot treat by putting more Trioxil® directly on the pimples. This won't clear them up faster. Dab it on your forehead, chin and both cheeks. Spread evenly over your entire face.

Ibuprofen gel, not sure if i like it or not.
I've been using ibuprofen gel as an anti-acne product for a while. It seems ok.
It's meant to be a sports gel, but I've been putting it on my face twice a day; I checked with the pharmacist and he seemed OK with me doing that, provided I keep it away from my eyes and mouth.
It's a strong anti-inflammatory, and using it topically means you don't have the potential problem with stomach bleeding, and because you're using it more specifically, the overall dose is much lower, so there's less risk of side-effects.
It's known that anti-inflammatories are great for acne, minocycline seems to work that way for example; even if you use mino at low dose than that that can kill bacteria it still works.
When I'm using ibuprofen topically I seem to get a lot less spots, and it greatly improves my skin tone. Has anyone else tried this?
Seems to take 2-3 weeks to begin to kick in; you could probably use it with other things like antibacterials; unlike aspirin masks it's not a exfoliant so you can use it everyday. I was using it with TTO.

    Anyone tried Zapzyt??
I used Neutrogena SA spot treatment for a while, and I want to try BP again (first experience with Proactiv, not great or i shouls say - bad. Second, i went and bought the Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask, which was TERRIBLE on my face, most likely because it has menthol), so, anyway, I was wondering if the Zapzyt gel is just as good, if not better than the Neutrogena or Clean & Clear BP gels/creams? I red here somewhere that in a treatment made in form of gel then it is usualy cheap and ineffective..Anyhow...anyone tried this stuff??

    Ali
Ali...it is Bad, if you had probles with Proactive and with BP in general then don't try the Zapzyt...it is full of chemicals and nothung else. I used it...it burned my skin and made my brakeuts worse.
    Ovante
Zapzyt does work on inflammed pimples fast, but using the product too much can leave your skin with a chemical burn and peeling....i know this from experience!

    dudu osun afrikan black soap
i started using dudu osun afrikan black soap as a cleanser few days ago.
i checked the lable and it don't have any irritants that I know of
Does anyone knows major problem with this soap

    Sam
The Dudu Osun African Black Soap is not good for the skin; it has the same problems that other soaps have- irritating cleansing agents and potentially pore-clogging ingredients to keep it in bar form. Chances are it also has an alkaline pH, which encourages bacterial growth.
It seems like it has more fragrance than other products, but I've seen worse; meaning that the fragrance may or may not be a problem. Remember, a product only needs a significant amount of one skin irritant to be a problem. The myristyl myristate in the formulation may be a problem for pores. The propylene glycol is also really bad. 10% benzoyl peroxide may be too irritating for some. So watch out for new brakeouts with it.

    Roaccutane
I read that Roaccutane has some severe side effects - depression, liver/bowel damage and others. Has anybody any experienced any of these, and are they as bad as stated on sites I have visited.
    Thanks for any help.

    acne is genetic
More i live with acne more i convinced that acne is a genetic desease. You can dring pure water or cranbery juse, clean your room or eat acutane for breakfast it does not matter. I don't believe for a minute that by doing all those and many other advices on acne treatments my acne will get better or go away completely. They run in my family, my mother and both of her sisters had acne, my grandfather had acne, my brother has acne, my cousins have acne. You will never convince me that acne cannot be linked to genetics. Acne is a disease, just like high blood pressure and high cholesterol it is fact. It is something that can be passed down from generation to generation and that is a another proven fact. I'm sure a lot of people here agree with me that healthy people can have acne too, and people who just eat junk food all day and live in dirty hous es can have perfectly clear faces. i have bunch of friends thair house just like a dump but yet they dont have acne. Acne can be caused by genetics. I am by no means saying that being clean can't help acne, but for some of us, it's not gonna be a miraculous cure. Whe you think about it, no one should have to live with acne, so by all means we should all do whatever works best for us is try to control them till they go away..

Proactive user here and need help

I am on Proactive right now and it is becoming very alarming because when i started the proactive solution anti-acne programm about 3 month ago my acne were mild to moderate. I had brake outs now and then but over all i had an improvements even in my skin because i have very oily skin so after starting the programm first what i notice was the skin softness has improved and the skin did not become too dry or overly dry but something in the middle so i decided to use the moisturizer.
Now, the acne were almost gone...probably 65 - 75% after 2 month of using proactive.
I was happy, my girlfriend was so proud of me and very happy as well.
Everything was going well until one morning about 2 weeks ago, i woke up, looked in the mirror and war terrified again. I had such a horrible brake outs and no matter what i did the acne came back even worse.
So i am very upset now, any help or advice would realy help, i throughout all the proactive junk and am not using anything right now..
