I barely ever got a pimple when I was going through puberty, I never got pimples with all the bad foods I would eat, but now I'm starting to get like bad pimples around my chin and I don't know why? I'm 19 I use the same face products, I eat the same, pretty much everything is the same. I'm getting so upset, I just want to know why now am I breaking out?

I made a post (like two posts down) about a glycolic acid product that probably only a handful of people have tried before... so I decided to make my question more general.
What is glycolic acid? I know it's an AHA, that it's used in peels, and helps with 'resurfacing.' But is it good for acne? Red marks? What? I have no clue. Please help!

Glycolic acid is mostly used as a chemical exfoliant for the skin. It helps improve the appearance of skin by method of exfoliation, encouraging collagen growth and reducing skin unevenness. It might help reduce the appearance of redmarks, but it will require time and patience.

started using it for my scalp, and within a few days I was cleared up. However, in the past few days, I've noticed alot of new breakouts. I don't know whether I'm not leaving it in long enough, or what? Any insight?

i have moderate acne and my derm put me on accutane. I just started it today by theway. I'm a 25 year old female. I've actually been on accutane before (When I was 18) and the accutane was the only once back then that did help me and it cleared up my skin COMPLETELY. No breakouts at all for about 2 years - not a single pimple i was soooo happy. But then I went to college my skin started to break out again (minor at first but then it got worse). I would go 2 months with great/clear skin and then out of nowhere I would break out for 2 months straight.
Anyway, I'm starting it again and i am glad my derm did listen to me and started me on accutane. I am not looking forward to the side effects however. The dry skin/chapped lips aren't so bad. I'm really concerned about the initial worsening. I'm afraid if imy skin does the intial worsening like it did last time I'll have scars. also did any one experience the hair loss while on accutane?
