  • Drinking and Diet how they affect acne treatment

Write you comments here and share your thoughts about drinking and diet, how do you think they affect your acne treatment

I decided to write here just to find out if i am on accutane can i drink and what a safe amount to drink is? I have been on accutane for two months and only 10mg a day. My derm didn't tell me not to drink, I asked him about it since my friend had warned me not to drink and my derm said it was fine in but very little. But I dont understand what that is considered - very little lol.. Any suggestions?

    No subject
I think you are irresponsible if you drink while on accutane. You will be harming yourself.

Thanks for your comments guys. Luckily, I'm not a big drinker anyway so ia safe here. But i might try non-alcoholic wine, see how that tastes!

    Drink on accutane
I had few drings here and there while on accutane and nothing happened. I mean, how do you want to go to Birthdays or other parties without a drink?

Yea..the booze definetly makes me brake out more then anything else..also if i eat some junk like McDonalds or something..specialy french fries...terrible after that
Yeap...the Mcdonalds or BurgerKing ...one of those places is not my choise realy, but if i have no time to eat something healthy and eat hamburger or something there then i too noticed that my acne get worse...so i guess we gotta watch what we eat...
I found out that after going out on Friday night and having few beers, my acne get worse that very same weekend, i usualt recover from it next few days..but if i have a shot or two then it is ok and i am fine the naxt day and acne dont get inflamed...
I realy think that consuming too much Oily or greasy food may contribute into not only developing acne but also worsen them. Fat and animal oil are unhealthy, we as acne sufferers shoul consume only vagetable oil, the Fried foods may taste good but it is one of the major contributors in developing acne. More unhealthy food we eat, more we expose ourself to develop new acne. And it is proven fact. Try eating greens and you will see the improvements in your acne.

The beer i think always give me more break outs that anything other drinks. The only difference i notice though
that i am fine if i had like mexican corona or heiniken. For some odd reason those two beers are
the best for me even though little on expensive side but it is better then aggravate more acne.

    Acne and food
Reading different acne posts here i think we should all realize that any fast food places
are bad for people with acne. I was looking for good - natural acne regiment for my younger brother because he is only 12
now but already with acne on his face and it is starting to show up on his shoulders as well...
so, i found this site and was fascinated with ovante products in general..because my moms cooworker has order some cosmetic
creams from ovante and shi - the coworker was braging abou ovante magic oil at work...anyhow...... my point is,
that i try to tell my brother not to eat to much the fast food or just stop it evenhtough he likes it very much.
My mom and i are both covinced that every time we eat at McDonalds od Burger King
my brother has terrible rash in his face and his moderate acne spreds out his face mor the very next morning.
We already took him to derm few times and last week visit the derm said the same thing that
fast food, oily or greasy foods should be avoided as much as possible and if possible shouldn't be in his daily diet at all.

    just another teen. ..
Being a teenager with acne is not easy and reading the posts from other members here who are
in their 20's or even 30's and still battling acne, makes it eveh harder to deal with. Responding to
the greasy or fast foods i can tell that it is hard for us not eat that cause all of our pears do
eat it when we go and hang out. I do understand that is bad but do eat it anyways cause i like the taste
    of it...

i think it is bunch of crap not to eat fast food....i love my sandwich and if i don't have then my day is
    not the same....
