Cortizone, Cortizone 10 Plus or other steroids users are wellcome here to share their stories with use of steroid treatments for acne
Lately we started receiving many letters from people who use steroids such as cortizone for their acne treatments. To make short answer to most of the e-mails it is suggestd that Steroid creams should never be used for too long because of the side effects. The use of steroids can have severe and irreversible side effects. The steroids should never be applied in thick amounts, and certainly not more than once or twice a day (IF directed to do so by a doctor). Some people think that applying more is going to give better and faster results. This is not the case with not only steroids but most topical treatments. Applying more often have reverse effects and sometimes can give permanent redness, bacterial infections, thinned skin. Hi every one, just found this article about Cortizone. I agree with the author and i fing that most people respond negatively to accutave or roaccutane on any other acne treatments which involved steroids or chemicals. Its been almost a year after i was first intoroduced to cortizone by my dermatologist. She has been treating my acne for as far back as i remember and the cortizone was in her mind but since i was back then still a teenager she did not recommend it to me as it could have some side effects. I think that the doctor should really decide what best treatment can be used because i myself is not that knowlegable about all the acne products available out there and thei efficasy and the side effects as well.
